Straightforward & compact appearance. Easy to connect. User is prompted with a firmware update (which I've been informed, sacrifices the bulb's ability to work on a local /non-internet connected basis - yet to research & confirm).These bulbs are good in that they allow you to set colour temperature K of the white, as well as allowing you to dial in the colour you want via a colour-wheel selectable from Tapo's intuitive app.(Could be improved by allowing the user to select the duration of fade as with their soon to be phased out Kasa bulbs).Good quantity of light from what is said to be a 60w equivalent. I'd say it appears to be emit higher brightness levels, but that could be that I've had to endure lesser LED bulbs.Glad I bought a couple of these.

...Does it perfectly.Have many Tp-Link bulbs and this is a replacement to one that has come to the end of its daily life. It does the ob well and the new upgrade over the Kasa bulbs are great. Only downside is I have to now have 2 apps, however, linked through google home, all works great!

Excellent colour changing bulb once you have set up the app on your phone or pad. Excellent dimming function for people who don’t like bright lights just make sure you turn it off at the switch as it won’t switch on unless you have the app.

Bulb is ok, great selection of colours. Would say it seems not as bright as the Philips Hue it replaced but the 3 bulbs I bought cost less than one Hue! App is ok, and works with Alexa with no issues.
Pros: Range of colours.Dimming.Cons: Bought two and they have lost their settings twice already . Won't be buying any more.
A great light for all occasions including having the party function on with changing colours..the grandkids loved it.It dimms and changes colour easy.I just say ALEXA turn light on and your off.But would have liked it a little brighter, say equivalent to a 100 watt bulb, this one is 60 watt.
These bulbs are absolutely wonderful I have three now, the colours and effects are amazing.They can be dimmed, flashing party mode and controlled by my phone.Very very good price for what they are and what they can do, no need for a lamp of dimmer switch.
As I already have the TP-link camera system I decided to have the light bulb to be controlled by my phone. I decided on the multicoloured bulb so that it was able to give me a mood option..I enjoy the blue colour as its calming. I have put them in several places including the bedrooms. Being on the system with my phone it's so easy to put them on and off at will . The cost seems high until you see that normal bulbs are now as expensive and prone to failing. The whole TP system is a real pleasure to have and use from one place... your phone .. With camera alerts and the lightning features you not only feel safe but now you can fully control what lightning you want in any of your rooms.. look out for offers on these products at your local toolstation or screwfix ... MoreAs I already have the TP-link camera system I decided to have the light bulb to be controlled by my phone. I don’t write many reviews but I’m so impressed with it I had to.I set it up through the app and Alexa within five minutes. It works perfectly through both.The range of colours are amazing. You can have it on disco so it goes through all the colours continuously. I love the fact you can set it to come on remotely whilst away from home. You can set days and hours for it to go on and off if, say, you are away from home for any length of time like on holiday (I wish!) You can programme it to come on at dusk and go off at dawn. It’s also dimmable. Just amazing for the price. I’m so impressed I’ve just ordered another two.
