Absolutely Awesome!
I have wanted an 8020 rig for years and I decided to look at Trak Racer products. I looked at other ones as well but I kept coming back. I opted for the TR80-Lite as I didn't see a need for quick adjust pedals since I am the only one that uses my rig.It went together fairly easy in about 6 hours, with integrated triple monitor mounts. It took me another 6 hours to mount and adjust the seat (Dodge neon seat), steering wheel, pedals and monitors. It is rock solid! I had one small issue, contacted customer support and they shipped out the defective bolt set.... Show more

A little lost
So far the setup has served me really well.A few of the plastic corner covers fall off for no reason but that's very minor. My biggest issue was the lack of instructions when it came to things like installing the single 90* corners on flat surfaces. I was able to figure out that I needed to break the tiny tabs, but a little comment would have been helpful. Also, maybe some suggested dimensions based on users overall height just to help us get into the ballpark on our initial setup would be helpful. I adjusted my rig twice as a result of having to find the best distance for my wheel which involved moving the main hoop and wheel base plate. Now that I'm setup everything is gravy.... Show more

Amazing!
I recently purchased this to upgrade from a folding chair andi do not regret it. The price is reasonable for what you get. There's more than enough hardware just in case which I ended up using. Big plus. Everything was thought through meticulously. Everything was packaged well. No scratches no dings. Super easy to put together. The instructions has a few typos and misprints on quantities needed for a few steps but over all good experience. Some say it took them a week to put it together. It only took me like 7 hours to get it fully how I like it. One little gripe is it not coming with a shifter mount. It comes with the arm to mount the shifter plate but the plate is sold separately. Keep that in mind. And if this will be your first legit rig then I highly highly ... MoreI recently purchased this to upgrade from a folding chair andi do not regret it. Definitely needed it you don't want to get out of the thing every time you need to adjust something. But over all rock solid unit, literally. 10/10 would buy again and would recommend. Prices rival and beat competitors if you do t the math.... Show more

Good rig for the money
For the price you pay, it's a great rig. Has everything you need to get started with a direct drive base, or a great upgrade if you're using less expensive gear. Only complaints is about the hardware/instructions. They basically sent a hardware kit for the TR80 or TR120, I have a lot of misc parts leftover. Which, to be fair, isn't a downside. The instructions are outdated for the hardware recieved, however. And I'd rather them send seat sliders instead of the shifter extension, due to still needing a shifter bracket.I'd highly recommend a measuring tape when you assemble this.... Show more

Lite & Solid
Whoever came with the idea for a aluminum extrusion profiles for a sim rig is a genius!!! I would never buy a rig that have a different construction than this one has. It’s extremely adjustable, versatile and modular. You can add anything to it and in case you decide not to use it anymore, you can make a coffee table out of it. It is not heavy for what it is and is very solid. I have a wood floor and use 2 floor mats to slide it around with the slippery side facing the floor. There is no flex at all anywhere even with a LC brake pedal and 8nmDD wheel base. Looks amazing, very industrial and professional, not like a toy. Footprint is relatively small and doesn’t take much space at all. Very happy with it and very happy with Trak Racer customer service. Very easy to ... Very easy to assemble with detailed instructions and also came with extra hardware, nuts, bolts, caps and even a aluminum profile arm. Can’t ask for more for the price. I even did the math, even if you build it yourself from scratch, buying all the hardware from local warehouse you have a small chance to save less than $100 , but you will do lots of work and you won’t get all the nice caps with the TR logo that cover the bolts, no instructions and no warranty. So I saved myself a headache and went for it. Extremely happy, that I did that. Totally worth the money. And it’s even motion rated, which I couldn’t believe.Great job Trak Racer! Definitely recommend, definitely will buy again if I need anything!!!If you have a shifter, definitely buy the long arm, it’s very sturdy and looks great!!!... Show more

Overall good product for the "cheapest option"
As a whole the TR80 setup is good in terms of layout and moving to a proper permanent setup (not on a desk) adjusting the frame uprights is made easier with 2 80mm corner brackets each side unlike some other vendors using plates or separate 40mm ones (looks better too) Stability wise the frame has some flex on the uprights as all do if you don't add additional profile in the centre between the main lengths. Hardware wise, the t-nuts are hit or miss, the recesses on the sides aren't very deep so you'll feel the t-nut come out of the profile groove spin/grind on the profile then needing to back off the bolt and feel the nut drop back in, these are generic ones used across the industry.Biggest gripe with the TR80 and trakracer is optional extras/changes & ... There's no options to change the wheel mount or pedal mount on the TR80 Lite config, I wanted the TR-ONE wheel mount instead of the standard as I knew I'd get a Simagic plus looks fancy with the red, it's available for the TR80, TR120, TR160 but not Lite? They want to refuse options on a base model, shameful. I could have gotten the TR120 but I didn't want the extra costs for the pedal setup that I didn't need and frame design. So I emailed about the wheel plate if I could change them and pay the difference of £26 no reply NEVER. Now to buy the wheel mount I want will be an extra £100 when the difference was £26 which is pathetic when it's available on the other frame setups initially. Will I buy it? DoubtfulIf you don't need the other options buy the TR80 Lite, if you do then pay the extra on the other setups. You are buying a £1 ice cream NO sprinkles because you didn't buy the £5 one.... Solid Rig
Overall, I enjoy the rig. Delivered in multiple boxes from different carriers on different days. Once all parts were received and sorted out, putting it together was a PITA. Directions are not clear and Trak Racer really should provide videos. I found similar rig construction videos on YT that were very helpful. Not too hard to put together but my time is valuable and I could have saved hours with proper tutorials vs trial and error. In the end, the rug suits my needs and I’m happy with it.... Show more

Tr80 Lite
Great quality. Needs major improvement on the instruction manual. It's says you will need 2 people to build...really you need 2 people to figure out the instructions. Tip: Do not cut the red strips until you have slid everything where you want them to be. You also have to "try" to break off tabs on a bracket..good luck! These should come already off. I had to go buy separate longer screws to be able to get the wheel mount on because the tabs wouldn't break off the bracket. All parts need to be better labeled so you know exactly where they go. All things aside, my husband loves it.... Show more

TR80LITE
Excellent setup, if you are handy or a tradie you can have the main rig together in a few hours. Mounting the wheel, pedals and seat take more time... Great value for money, great quality extrusions that are really dense and thick. Packaged well to prevent damage. Went with a SAAS Kombat pu recliner seat without any mounting brackets, just used the adjustable runners. With the brackets I fear the seat would be too high for my liking .Couple things that could use work:The brackets that mount the pedal plate should be angled on the bottom so they don't protrude below the main extrusions (can't understand how it made it past CAD let alone first test assembly)The castors are necessary in my opinion however the castors themselves are not very good quality, I being a ... Well above the actual weight it would have to carry yet after only hours of use I was finding steel balls on the floor everytime I moved the rig. 4 castors failed. Ended up buying 80mm 140kg rated castors that use a 12mm bolt. You have to drill out the mounting plates to suit. 8× castors and high tensile bolts and nuts cost about $130 extra but I'll never need to replace castors again.Whilst I think the castors are not great and no where near 50kg rating, I think it's probably still worth it just for the, mounting plates themselves...The drivers footrest, no idea why you get two and only one hardware lot...The threaded inserts could be a tighter fit allowing easier adjustment over the loose fit inserts that end up cocking sideways making adjustments clunky. The developers should buy a quality RC buggy kit from a manufacturer like Team Associated RC10 series and TAKE NOTE OF THE SEPARATE HARDWARE BAGS FOR EACH INDIVIDUAL STEP OF THE INSTRUCTION MANUAL...Above all you can't argue with the rig quality and value.....
