This one has a five-second reserve, so it doesn't switch off when the starter motor turns. It also has sound, which I suppose is useful for commentary during incidents. The image, both day and night, is very good.

Easy to set up. Easy to use. Simple instructions. It does the basic functions at a reasonable price. To get more you can spend more.
The previous one, stolen, switched on when the car switched on, then switched off when the starter motor turned, then switched on again. It's current came from a capacitor. This one has a five-second reserve, so it doesn't switch off when the starter motor turns. It also has sound, which I suppose is useful for commentary during incidents. The image, both day and night, is very good.
Easy to install/set up. I have bought a number of these dash cams as presents over the last few years. Only issue was that the first one bought in 2013 for myself developed faults and had to be recently replaced. Not a bad life span though.
Pros: Easy to use and you can remove it from the windscreen when not in us. Quality of picture is much better than others I used.Cons: The wire is a bit intrusive.

And it corrupted the card. It went into an endless loop that I had to format the card. I tried to reformat the card.
