So excited to FINALLY get this figure. Was not expecting it to go back in stock, so grabbed it while I could. So on to the figure itself.Robot mode looks fantastic, easily one of the best Movie Prime designs we’ve ever had. Imagine if this had been Optimus Prime from the beginning. This shows that it would’ve been possible. Articulation is on point, with only the feet suffering a little. Truck Cab Mode is also fantastic, coming together nicely and giving Prime his Iconic Alt mode. Overall, a great addition to any Transformers collection.

Beautiful looking Optimus, with incredibly good articulation.Transformation was really intuitive, by studio series standards anyway. Also something that doesn't happen often, the joints were all good and tight without being overly tight.my only nitpick is the design of the legs, they are hollow and don't tab in too well. once you do get them tabbed they'll stay as long as you don't put pressure on the lower legs themselves (accidentally or otherwise), but conversely they transform cleanly due to that with no obvious kibble.

Missed out on this guy when he was first released, glad I was able to get him again with this surprise rerelease! Wish I could have gotten an Email though. I found out on Instagram but glad it all worked out. ROTB is coming out soon and glad I can have him posed up with the new Buzzworthy Prime! Beautiful figure, great articulation but the legs don’t click so it tends to fall apart. Not really meant to play with but posed I feel.

Fantastic figure. This is modern take on a G1 Prime design. Great articulation, fun transformation. One of my favorite new figures. Looks great next to my WFC gamer edition Prime and Seige Prime. Has me looking forward to a SS RotB Prime since the designs are similar.
This figure is a great addition to your Transformers: Studio Series collection or anyone's collection that focuses on movie-based Transformers. This is the closest modern live action design to the original G1 cartoon design that kids of the 80s have come to know and love. The figure itself is mostly accurate to its onscreen counterpart with a few missing details that don't detract from this toy at all. Would have been nice to see the Autobot logo on his should and YES there's some unsightly "kibble" on this forearms, but I think that those panels are easy to remove if you prefer a cleaner look for his arms. The plastic is lightweight, but feels sturdy as a toy and scales well with your other Studio Series figures as well as the Siege line. For a mass market affordable $30 fully transformable figure – you can't go wrong with this guy. Although I'll personally be leaving him in robot mode, it's nice to know that he can change into his G1 looking truck if you ever chose to do so. His "backpack" is extremely minimal and there are not a lot of (if any) "hollow" parts on this figure compared to some of the other figures in the Siege line and some SS ones.I loved the Bumblebee movie and have no regrets about picking this up as my affordable transforming toy version of this character to go alongside the other Hasbro offerings I already have on the shelf(s) and will be a great companion piece to the Hasbro licensed non-transforming collectible piece I'll be ordering in the future too.
Had high hopes for this and I was kind of let down. It looks good except the head feels a little small. The posing is my problem. The shoulders feel very limited by the back and the gray parts on the legs don't like to stay in. I like the pivots but if you're going to have pivots the feet need to move up and down too. The feet only move down and it's not very useful. I can have fun with it but it's not the best Prime figure.
Figure looks good. One of the better Optimus designs. However, the significant crush damage to his box is a hideous eyesore to an in-box collector. $45 and change spent on damaged merchandise and a CSR telling them that condition is not guaranteed so if you don't want it, shell out more money to return it does not makes one feel that "fans come first"
Size aside (thats where were at and its not changing anytime soon), he's standard voyager size, he's awesome. Voyager is just a little weird dor primes for me. I prefer them leader class. That being said, the sheer detail of this thing compared to other voyager primes is crazy. I love how detailed this thing is. He stands out on my shelf in a sea of optimus primes/primals.
This was my first Optimus but now looking back I realize the excitement blinded me to a very obvious omission in this figure - the lack of an Autobot insiginia! I simply do not understand how a Studio Series, Voyager class figured, based on the movie representation of the character could be made by Hasbro without an Autobot logo. How? Who reviewed and approved this? I should have just bought a third party model for possibly less with just as much articulation. It really soured my experience with the figure. That aside all other things are fine, minus the usual hang-ups with Transformer toys: this or that doesn't click into place, one joint is too tight or too loose, but I can live with that. To anyone considering this Optimus I say skip it and to for the ROTB Prime, ... MoreThis was my first Optimus but now looking back I realize the excitement blinded me to a very obvious omission in this figure - the lack of an Autobot insiginia! To anyone considering this Optimus I say skip it and to for the ROTB Prime, it's basically the same figure but with the logos - if those mean anything to you.
As someone who never saw the Bumblebee movie, this fits a G1 inspired "live action" incarnation of Optimus Prime for me, design and aesthetic wise. I don't need 100% accuracy to a film I've never seen (although I'd watch it over Bayverse any day).It is perfect in robot mode because of the above. I have not transformed it as yet, because I never intended to, although I have heard there are paint scraping issues in the process, so be aware.Had I know about the PF (think that's Premium Finish) I might gone for that, but as it is, it works for my needs.
