Travelpro bags are top of the line, in my opinion. The material on this one, appears to be very strong and has no imperfections. There are three main storage areas. The first is large enough to fit a laptop or perhaps your jacket. Then there is a smaller one between that and the main body. It is a bit difficult to get into, which is good and bad. If it’s difficult for you, then it would be difficult for anyone trying to access it without you noticing. It’s a smaller area and I could see using it for my passport and travel docs. The edge guards and the bumpers along the back are great to help protect the bag during travel. The zippers are quality and easy to zip and unzip. Included are extra zipper pulls which makes me think, there must be a reason and that you will need them. But I do know from experience, that luggage is not handled with care by baggage handlers; and I’ve lost zipper pulls before. So, it’s nice to have the extras. The four wheels are a must have, though the plastic looks like it might not hold up very well. Hoping I’m wrong. The extendable handle adjusts to 4 different heights, making it easy to adapt to different needs. The handle is firm and doesn’t wobble. There are padded top and side handles and a bottom handhold. I especially appreciate the bottom handhold, with any luggage. It makes it easier to pick up and place where you need to stow it.The interior is roomy. It has one long side zipped area for storing those things that you want to find easier, or that need to be held more securely. The separate zipped garment area in the top comes in handy for special clothing. And then something new to me - a set of zippered storage bags that are attached to each other, and fit across the entire contents. I’m not so sure about this set up. If you put something liquid in one of those bags and it leaks, it’s sitting on top of everything you packed and can go everywhere. However, if you have a lot of smaller items that you are packing for a trip, it will help hold them all more securely. And whatever you choose to put in there, can be easily found and accessed. So that can be helpful, too.All in all, this seems to be another wonderful Travelpro bag and I’m so glad to have it!

All of the usual great qualities of Travelpro rollaboard bags are there such as the balance, the ease of rolling (I'm a huge 2 wheel fan) and the usability of all the interior space. But the feature I've never seen is the detachable twin packing pouches attachment cleverly held via hooks and loops over the main compartment. It acts both as a divider and as a compression feature since the interior strap can be looped through it to cinch down over the main compartment. My only nitpick is that the hooks are a squared "S" shape with the ends sharply curving inward. These ends made it less fluid at times to hook them to the loops on the side of the bag. Perhaps a deeper rounded standard "S" shape or bigger loops would work more intuitively. Interior and exterior pockets add very flexible storage for the busy traveler with the build quality you come to expect for years of active use.

I have the Crew Versapack checked luggage in this colorway, and Travelpro sent this carry-on bag to review. Overall, the bag is very similar to checked version in terms of the aesthetic and build. It rolls just as smoothly, though I haven't yet been able to take it on any major trip to test it out. The outside pockets have a good setup and the inside has a removable/adjustable piece that can be used for different setups. I'm not entirely sold on whether all of the different setups they show would really be that functional, but at a minimum its an extra removable piece of storage and can be used for compression if needed. One of the things I like the most is that the bag is actually carry-on sized (For US airlines), including the wheels (or at least close enough to ... MoreI have the Crew Versapack checked luggage in this colorway, and Travelpro sent this carry-on bag to review. Most carry-ons I see are measure to fit the dimension in the bag size, but the wheels make them too big, so if they every actually use the sizer, you may have to check the bag. I've had that happen before, so I prefer to know that won't happen, and just pack what I can fit. If you do need more space than that and are willing to to take the chance, the bag is adjustable to fit a bit more. If you prefer an oversized carry on though, this isn't that. The only minor complaints I'd have are:1) The accents on the bag that are real leather on my checked version seem to be some sort of artificial material and don't look as nice. I don't think this would impact the function at all though.2) There is some foam padding in the base of the bag behind the fabric lining that I'm not sure is supposed to be there and isn't attached to anything. My checked version has some foam to protect the handle, but not this extra piece. If it is intentional, it feels like it should be fixed in place.I will caveat again that I received this bag as a free sample for review, so its possible that the final product has better finishing.Ultimately, if this bag holds up as well as my checked one, I'll be very happy with it.

This bag has all of the quality that I've come to expect from Travelpro. It just doesn't have the one feature that I love on my Platinum Elite - a pocket for a battery pack. The new, inner-removable pocket is an interesting feature. It's bigger than the storage pockets on my PE bag. But I need to figure out how best to use it. It's not big enough for toiletries (nor TSA-compliant), but could be good for smaller things like jewelry.Pros - lightweight, compact design is great for shorter trips, but also has an expansion pocket, if needed. the front, outer pocket is very large and easy to access whatever is inside, better than my PE bag. wheels glide super easily and effortlessly.Cons - doesn't have a dedicated pocket for a battery pack for my phone. I love Travelpro products! I have used and purchased several different types of their carryons. This one is a good one but it is not my favorite. The bag fit easily into the domestic airline overhead bin. You can tell it is well made and durable. No doubt it will last a long time. It rolls so easily. The handle is sturdy and moves up and down easily. It is a great bag. But what separates this bag from other Travelpro carryons is the removable compression packing organzier. I thought it would be a useful organizational tool for the bag. However, when I actually went to use it I was defintely underwhelmed by it. The compartments of this organizer are pretty small. It is too small for all of my liquids. It was stuffed to the gills when I packed my wet swimsuit in it ... MoreI love Travelpro products! It was stuffed to the gills when I packed my wet swimsuit in it and defintely couldn't fit both my husbands and mine swimsuits in there. While it says you can use it to divide the space in your bag, for me and anyone who uses any type of packing cube it isn't really necessary.
Already on one work trip and I love this bag. A major improvement over an older maxlite bag. I downsized by 1 inch on the height but did not seem to lose that much volume overall. The bottom handgrab and plastic strips to keep the fabric off the ground when flat are other big improvements from my previous travelpro maxlite. What to like … enough space to carry on 3 days worth of clothes, pair of shoes, and toiletries without unzipping the expander. Could have been 4 days but I packed flip flops, rash guard/swimming trunks, and travel towel because a beach was near the work site.Though it was tight, I loved that it technically meets the size limits of most US domestic carriers should they decide to actually enforce them and it fits straight I most mainline ... MoreAlready on one work trip and I love this bag. I tossed the toiletry insert because it is an inefficient use of space.I also liked the design and aesthetics. Fabric looks and feels stronger than my older maxlite. It was a good blue color with brown accents that make it discernible from most other blue bags.
Well made bag that should function well as a carry-on on flights and has enough space for a 4-5 day trip if you know how to pack! Comes with inside straps to cinch down everything and has a divider of sorts that contains a couple of pockets (I haven’t used them), one appears to be for toiletries. I used the divider to compress the main compartment. Lid has a zipper pocket that is perfect for shirts. Case is expandable if necessary via a zipper on top of the bag. There are two outside pocket, one roomy, the other small, and I found it hard to access, though I have large hands! Handle appears sturdy and has built in stops for travelers of varying heights. Wheels look well made and roll effortlessly. YKK zippers all around, so those should last for awhile! I purchased this bag for a long European vacation which involved many planes, trains and automobiles. I am happy to say this bag fit under the seat on the first united flight which was a smaller plane. It is the perfect size to put a large toiletry bag, books, small laptop or iPad and easy to carry and manage. I was able to fit a large toiletry bag, my travel messenger bag, a down vest, umbrella, snacks and purchases along the way. It has 2 outside pockets and one on the inside. My only observation was the outside sleeve that you can slide on the roller suitcase was a little on the large size causing the bag to lean out but I wrapped the carry handles on the top to the roller handle which secured it. This spinner maneuvers smoothly whether down an airplane aisle or through a busy terminal. Love that. I like the built- in organization, and this particular bag included a wet pack that can be secured on all 4 corners or secured to the packing straps to use as a divider. I preferred securing only two corners, lifting it up like a book page, but having those several options is nice. I do not foresee using a wet pack often, though this will be just as useful for organizing personal items, but my teenage nieces, with whom I often travel, liked the option of having a designated space to pack a damp bathing suit after a beach trip. They and I ( almost 65) found it easy to get in /out of an overhead bin. Even when I expanded it, it didn't want to fall over, and it easily fit in the overhead bin. It looks very sturdy, and I've not been disappointed with Travelpro quality in the past, so I don't anticipate any problems here, either.
Nothing will beat these wheels! I can roll this suitcase with a pinky! I literally pushed it and let it go while drinking my water and grabbing my phone. We compared the 'rollability' to my husband's AWAY carry-on, and this was the clear winner. I am debating the packing capacity (wish it was a little bigger), but it's a lightweight suitcase with good outside pockets. The pockets are a bit snug initially where your knuckles get scraped a little - but in time this should improve. If you're like me and debating a hardside vs soft, pockets are a factor that most hardside cases can't offer. I also have yet to really push the packing capacity and expansion this case allows. I prefer this type of packing style vs a 70/30 split, etc. I'm very pleased overall, and because ... MoreNothing will beat these wheels! I can roll this suitcase with a pinky!
