The soft materials seem strong and durable, addressing the usual issue with softcases. However, this makes the overall weight slightly heavier than other soft and hard case luggage. The compartment for hanging/folding suits and shirts is very useful for keeping them wrinkle-free and saves storage space. Good but not exactly what I was hoping for

Solid construction and very lightweight. The wheels roll wonderfully and the zipper is smooth and easy to utilize. There is a good amount of space in the suitcase so packing was a breeze. I did lots of research and landed on this-though it is still not exactly what I was looking for. The handles make incredibly deep troughs in the bottom (more than my older suitcases) and I was replacing a suitcase that had a bottom opening compartment on the top lid ( which I can not stand because everything slides out) and I didn’t realize unfortunately this is designed the exact same way due to the garment folder which I won’t use. This is a nice, well made suitcase and it is definitely a few grades above what we were carrying before. The suit/dress layout in the top is great for storing dresses with minimal wrinkles. It does take away from the large zipper pocket I was used to using in previous suitcases though. It is easy to roll even in airports with carpeting and steers nicely. I bought the Espresso color for me and it's very expensive looking. I bought the Black for my husband which is very nice too. Both suitcases still look good after 2 trips from the east coast to the west coast and back.Handle underneath is handy ... MoreWe travel across the country a lot and I was tired of our suitcases falling apart. I am returning the bag

RFID pocket is too small for a passport (duh!). Business section is too tight to open up enough to carrybmuch in the bottom. Why is the protective laptop padding so short? Do they only care about protecting the lower two thirds of the laptop and the upper one third is OK to get beat up? Make the RFID pocket big enough for a passport. Extend the laptop sleeve padding all the way up. Add an expansion zipper for the business section. And lastly, make the business section with the same type of zipper as the main compartment, with a hole for a padlock!!! I can only install a padlock through the ends of the zipper pulls in the business section, which makes it super easy for a thief to open. Your design makes it 99 yards, but fails to make the final yard for the touchdown. Just a few minor improvements and it would be a great bag. I know, however, my suggestions will be ignored as they always are. I am returning the bag. I love Travelpro and have used them for 42 years exclusively, but they are frustrating when they ignore obvious improvements that need to be made.

My Dad was a commercial pilot for 25 years and always used TravelPro. He actually handed his last one down to me once he retired! My husband also is a huge fan and has always had TravelPro and finally convinced me to purchase a set. Previously, I had only purchased Samsonite or other random brands from TJMaxx as the price was great. I would just have to replace them every other year. Tired of this, I thought it was finally time to upgrade and I am SO glad that I chose TravelPro. I actually had considered the Away as well as a Rimowa but after reading reviews and comparing the functionality of all of them the winner was TravelPro. This summer has been extremely travel heavy for our family and I have loved using my new set throughout all of it. The quality is immediately obvious and there are many thoughtful details such as the charging pocket, the extra compartments on the outside and inside, the locks etc. And I cannot tell you how much I love that they are "weighted" perfectly so that they don't tip over, which is something I absolutely could not stand with all other bags. But the most incredible part: the wheels!! The smoothest gliding wheels that go over any bump and can spin in every direction for easy maneuvering. They have made my travel so much easier and look classy as well.

Take Quality for A Spin

I would highly recommend this carry-on to the business traveler or to leisure travelers who have learned the art of packing. This suitcase is sturdy, solidly built and rolls more smoothly than other suitcases I have used in the past. The website provides the external and internal dimension. The external dimensions were spot on, however, the actual internal measurements were a bit shy of what they claim - by 1/2 to almost 1 inch of usable space - hence my comment on the art of packing. I was able to fit the following: 2 dresses, 1 pair of dress pants 2 Camis, 3 blouses, 1 pair of dress ankle boots and a blazer. I also had running tights, top and jacket, a rain poncho, PJs, plus all the accessories and toiletries needed for 5 days of travel. And it was tight! I will not use the "technology pocket" as intended, nor will I use the "suit holder" I would have preferred the ability to opt out of that feature and pay a little bit less. Overall this is a great suitcase. Now we will see if the telescoping handle holds up!

This Bag is a Winner!

Great bag. Chose the burgundy color because it has silver (not gold) hardware and I love the pink interior color. I’ve noticed there are lots of hard sided bags being sold lately but I prefer the soft sided bags like this one for a number of reasons. First and foremost I need exterior pockets. This bag is great for that purpose. It has three different sized front pockets and the side pocket built for your battery pack is great to have. I don’t use the battery pack for several reasons. They’re heavy. You have to take them out if you check your bag and seriously, there are tons of ways to charge your device now, even in the airport. This bag expands (which is GR8!). Inside you get a quart size plastic travel bag for liquids that zips into the case and can be removed. ... MoreGreat bag. Inside you get a quart size plastic travel bag for liquids that zips into the case and can be removed. You also have an interior zipper pocket, that you can’t see in the pictures, and a foldable garment bag. The side flaps that hold your stuff in place is a real nice feature and it keeps my stuff from shifting around and falling out when I open the bag. The wheels roll like butter and the handle operates very smoothly. I don’t know how long this bag will last but I’m hard on my bags and use them for work trips about 45 times a year. Two wishes for this bag: wish it were an inch bigger in every direction and had an exterior water bottle pocket. Suggestion for TravelPro: You need to improve your video and pictures for this bag-what is online doesn’t do it justice. It took me three weeks of looking at this bag to buy it. But if I had seen a video of all the little missed things I’d have bought it much sooner and would not have looked at four other brands in the interim. Also I would recommend adding the interior features to some of the bigger checked bags as well.

Two great pieces of luggage
13 July 2024

We ordered 2 of this model. 1 in espresso, 1 in sand, which is quite light in color. The light one showed markings from the airport baggage handlers and stowage, so get a dark color. We did have a problem with the order. As I indicated, we ordered 2 of this model. We got 1 and the second one was a hardside model, not what we wanted or ordered. We were on a tight schedule, leaving too soon for Travelpro to replace it. We ended up getting the second one from Amazon, who sent it overnight. I would be angry, except Travelpro had us return the piece they sent in error and refunded the cost within 5 days. They kept in communication with us and made every effort to take care of us, so it made things better and mostly satisfied us. The luggage itself is well made. Packing is easy and we like the dividers and pockets provided. The price is fair and competitive within the better level luggage market. The wheels work well, even on European uneven sidewalks. Really heavily cobbled sidewalks would still be a challenge, but otherwise they performed really well.

Very good design and functionality.

Very good design and functionality. However, the interior straps and suit holder are antiquated. There are better strapping and containment options offered by other manufacturers. The fit and finish of my Travelpro Elite is very good. The wheels are well integrated into the design and their rolling performance is top-notch.The zippers are well designed and high quality. The expandability function works well but it only expands on 3 sides. Not sure why they didn't design it so that the zipper expanded on the bottom. Not receiving a luggage tag with a $ 500. 00 suitcase is disappointing. Travelpro charges an additional fee for a luggage tag which is contrary to free tag offerings from most other high-end luggage tag providers. Wheels have a mind of their own

Real quick I normally don’t write reviews, but I need to give some feedback on this for people that are looking to get this roller bag….. First of all the bag is well made and designed, but for a wheeled bag 50% of the value is in the wheels……. For me, I can find a bag that’s halfway decent for a fraction of this price….. Costco‘s Kirkland brand which is not carried anymore is one example that was superior quality in every way and less than half the price….. so for a bag this price it needs to be hitting on all cylinders and it’s not…. The main failure is the wheels….. I’m not sure if the manufacturer is touting the magnetic aligned wheel thing as a bonus or technical advancement, but it’s not ! it’s actually the opposite !…. When you’re rolling this through airport, trying to dodge in and out of people on a busy day , trying to get to your gate , It’s a struggle…. If you’re trying to weave it to the left or the right quickly, it quickly becomes Annoying, and a small workout, which it should not be….. The wheels will aim One Direction that you aim them and keep going that direction and you have to yank it to get them to go another direction and then they go that direction and then you have to yank it to go another direction. It’s the worst technology I’ve ever seen in a wheeled bag…… Word of advice… stay away from this luggage brand that are wheeled……. This luggage is overpriced. There is other luggage out there that is decent quality for less money and the wheels are fluid in their motion, making it effortless to maneuver in an airport. Not requiring a struggle and a small workout…… Moral to the story is you don’t always get what you pay for.
