I'll be the first one to admit, this is a fiend scrub: winter-time it's my absolute worst nightmare but somehow in springtime it doesn't actually make me gag the same way. I don't know 🤷🏻‍♀️ This scrub has a warm floral/hot vomit scent to it that's unforgettable, actually I really wish I could get this travesty out of my head and nostrils. Fake/plastic/artificial vanilla, gardenia and suede are supposed to be the notes in it, if your nose can pick up on those, you're the lucky one. I got this for free (honestly don't recall from where or why) and never used it: unscrewing the cap alone makes me want to throw up. Yuck.

This is the only sugar scrub that I use. Yes, they have many other scents, but the Vanilla Bean is beautifully scented. When I use this scrub, even after the shower I get so many compliments about how great I smell. But the deal is this sugar scrub leaves my skin feeling so smooth and soft. I use it after shaving or when my skin feels really dry. This stuff is perfect. BUY IT NOW!

I have tried this and the green tea scented scrubs, and they are *chef’s kiss.* 🤌😘 The fragrance isn’t overpowering. It doesn’t aggravate my sensitive skin. And, it is a huge help with shaving. It clears out any dead skin so I can get a closer shave that removes all the hair so I don’t have to repeatedly shave with the razor or worry about missed spots on my legs. It leaves my body silky soft and if you use cocoa butter right after using this? OMG 🤤 You smell like fine chocolates

Amazing

I love these scrubs they are the best and are adorable. There are many scents to choose from so there should be a scent for just about anyone. I personally like vanilla but dislike cheap smelling or too sweet of scents, not a probably with Vanilla bean. But I wouldn't say it's a good vanilla either as there's barely any detectable vanilla at all. For this reason it disappoints me and lost a star from me. Other than that it works great and leaves you're skin incredibly soft n smooth. I also use it to shave my legs. I first scrub them down really well, then I let it sit for a moment while the sugar melts/dissolves a bit more. It leaves a creamy texture that works perfect for shaving. After my shower I apply Vaseline cocoa butter lotion which has micridrpoplets of Vaseline it absorbs quickly and helps seal moisture in. I also use this scrub gently on my face 3x week, avoiding the eye area. I use just a small dime size amount then follow up with my favorite moisturizer. My face is left glowy and baby soft.

Intrigued/Disappointed

I'm very into vanilla fragrance right now but also like musk/unisex fragrances so when I read the vanilla reviews I was intrigued that many said this was only a tiny vanilla but VERY MUSKY even mens cologne like. So I blind bought & picked up at store & after using was shocked to find it's NEITHER vanilla nor strong musk..it literally smells almost of nothing! I went back & smelled all of the vanilla thinking mine was just weak but they are all the same. Maybe they reformulated? Then I smelled every other scent and most are faint of scent. The product is good but the smells are practically nonexistent. The pineapple is great/strongest authentic smelling & the Tropic Glow that most reviewers love is nice but it's again not a strong scent.

I don't like this scent I prefer spicy or woodsy vanilla. This was bland and musty but not musky if that makes sense? I did over come that by adding Aqua did Gio Profundo. I certainly didn't get any gardenia off of this. I had expected it to smell more like their Marshmallow Lodge, which was my introduction to their products. No I wouldn't buy this one again. I wouldn't recommend it to vanilla lovers. It does scrub but plain sugar does too.

My favorite scent but apparently polarizing

I used to use the Moroccan rose, but got sick of it halfway through my second tub. I never tire of Tahitian vanilla. But I think I had an idea of what this scent was going in.If you like sweet, candy, gourmand, this isn't that. This is warm, musky, floral, sandalwood, shea butter, with yes, vanilla as well. But this isn't a sweet, edible vanilla. This is a warm, day on the beach.Another one I love is the body shop cupaucu body scrub, which a reviewer said smells like the golden girls house. This is that sorta scent. I'm here for it.

I use it before shaving and don't rinse it off. I let it sit on the skin a moment until most of the sugar melts/dissolves. It leaves behind a silky, almost serum-like texture that is perfect for shaving. Afterward, whether you are using it to shave or to simply exfoliate the body you are left with amazingly soft skin. I personally follow up with Vaseline cocoa butter lotion which has microdroplets of vaseline. It sinks right in and helps to seal in moisture. The vanilla is so faint and I can kinda pick up on the chemical and bit of cologne note that people keep mentioning. It still has a light sweetness to it but the ones I have purchased do not smell of strong vanilla nor does the scent seem to last on the skin. The vanilla that I do pick up smells cheap to me and not at all like the warm creamy vanilla I was expecting.

READ THIS BEFORE BUYING

Trying to find a good smelling scrub is hard shopping online so as someone who bought this scrub, I will do my best to describe the product. It smells like overpowering men’s cologne or men’s deodorant mixed with some sort of plastic-y vanilla 🍦 scent. Not the worse but doesn’t smell like vanilla bean. The actual scrub works amazing but the scent isn’t outstanding. One thing to not is the scent doesn’t really stay after you wash it off but it’s still slightly there.

smells SO good

I don’t usually post reviews on stuff but this smells AMAZING. The scent isn’t too strong. It’s also not super classic vanilla-y, which I’m definitely okay with. It’s a bit more musky with some vanilla undertones but I absolutely love it, I can’t stop smelling myself lol. It also isn’t too harsh on my skin (my skin is fairly sensitive), and it doesn’t dry me out; it actually left me feeling smooth and soft, but not oily or anything. The scrub is a perfect consistency and smell, and the price is great too. I can’t believe I’m just now finding out about this scrub!
