Hi i am into farming. My exposure to sun is around 5 to 6 hours a day. The hat has UV and super light. Happy to have the recommendation by madhu preetha she was very curious to understand what i was planning to do in farming . Happy to keep enjoying decathlon product's.

Bought it for fishing offshore in wet conditions. I experienced rain and lots of salt spray and it worked just fine. A bit stiffer brim would have been nice in the wind because the brim tends to either flip up or be pushed down over your eyes. I'll probably use it for hiking as well because its light and very crushable - easy to take along.

1/ LOW QUALITY - It's very thin and light, the brim of the hat too light so doesnt really hold the shape when just a little bit windy. the lace up isnt really adjustable. it's stuck. the whole thing just comes off very cheap and in low quality.2/ TRACKING?! - And it has this tracking device on the label of the hat, if you have bought it, you'd have to cut everything off, otherwise you will be tracked wherever you go.3/ I will not support such tracking tech on customers. BIG NONO.

Fits great. Lightweight. Super comfortable. I have a tendency to overheat. Especially when I wear hats. Was on the water in direct Sun and wind and had complete protection while never overheating. My daughter bought a “Tilley” hat from another vendor and didn’t share the same experience. She will be buying this hat now.
I have purchased this product from Decathlon on-line service to make use of this cap during my morning walk during rainy season. This Waterproof Mountain Trekking Cap was purchased during August 2020 and I have used it once only during September 2020 while going for a walk in rain. It is observed that , this waterproof cap does not protect from the rain and water sinks in side the cap in rain. I feel Decathlon is doing false publicity to boost up the market. I personally do not recommend anybody to buy this cap to get protection from rain.R.N Mishra
I have purchased this cap during August 2020 with the view that I can use this for my morning walk during rainy season. I have used this cap once in September during raining and I find that it is not waterproof as advertised. Water sinks in easily. Please do not buy the same to make use of it in rain.
Ordered on 31 June 2020. It's only a week I used. No chemicals spilled, all stitches intact. It does not repel water. There are perforated holes to vent the heat. To test try spraying water droplets in other areas covering that perforated portion. It soaks water. Now I can even return the product.

this hat does well in protecting me from the sun. however the water proof quality is not up to standard. as a coach and hiker, i own many hats to protect me from the sun and this is one of the worse i have by far. the rim is flimsy, it flips up with just a moderate gust of wind. the inner lining which is suppose to be around your forehead always goes out of position. once i was coaching and it began to rain, part of the hat absorbed the water and it is not totally waterproof.
I bought this as replacement for an old Quechua waterproof hat.But the fabric is cheap, the hat does not have a proper 'structure' and is easily twisted by the wind.Also ventilation is insufficient even in the winter so you get the hair wet.A real step down from previous models.
