I have ridden this now for a few months and I must admit it looks fantastic. Great paint job(blue) and detailing is subtle. My biggest issue with it is the weight, over 9.5kgs and the Bontrager wheels that come with it are so heavy. I am going to keep the bike and upgrade the wheels, hopefully this might sort the weight issue out and make it more like a climbing bike. 105 is good but certainly not as refined as Ultegra.

I'm really happy that I went with the Emonda after considering just about all other high end offerings. Its a big purchase and I was hesitant because I had Treks in the past and wasn't overly impressed with the ride (Dull and wooden come to mind), but they have come a long way from those days. The new Emonda is fast... it feels like a pure aero bike until you hit a hill, and then you realize how much difference the weight makes. I thought the reviews were cliche when they say it just wants to climb, but I get it now. It's very responsive to small inputs, not so much twitchy, but it's taken me time to get used to riding with no hands. Its descends really well and I love the front end stiffness... it just goes where you point it and is actually not a bad sprinting ... MoreI'm really happy that I went with the Emonda after considering just about all other high end offerings. I absolutely love it and think it's a perfect all-rounder for an area with rolling hills. One word of advice is to consider tire choice... I immediately upgraded to 28c and am glad I did. It still feels racy, but they take some of the edge off of what is a stiffer ride (but that is expected at this level). A big thanks to Jack and the team at Oakham that worked with me to get it set up exactly as I wanted. I have always ordered online from Sigma Sports but the in-shop experience is second to none.

Brilliant bike, great service from Sigma

Received the bike last month, in time for the warm weather. It’s sooo nice, much Comfier and swifter than my old bike. The folk at Sigma were great, changing the crank length so it fitted me, and a few other bits. It’s even better than I’d expected and the Pro 6 SL seems the best balance of great kit (wheels, gears etc) for the money. It’s comfy and swift and I’m looking forward to doing loads and loads of miles. Sigma’s enthusiasm to make sure I had the right sized bars, crank etc for my riding (oh and front ring gearing for hilly riding that I’m planning) made it even better. Thanks, :-)

Fantastic bike

I bought the Emonda sl6 pro around a month ago now, having been out a fair bit since then I have to say it is a great great bike. It handles really well, climbs well, descends well, everything feels smooth and comfortable whilst riding whilst also being able to feel the road too. It also looks so good (I went for black/red combo) in the flesh you will not be disappointed. I really can't find any cons with this bike, it has everything you could need and genuinely looks awesome. Highly recommend purchasing.A quick thank you to Daniel McQuillan at Sigma sports too, he has a vast amount of knowledge, was really helpful when I asked any questions, stayed in constant contact with me during my 6 month wait for the bike, gave me advice and changed things when I changed my ... MoreI bought the Emonda sl6 pro around a month ago now, having been out a fair bit since then I have to say it is a great great bike. Honestly couldn't recommend him enough and of course Sigma.

Fast, comfortable, stylish
17 October 2020

Having had the bike for a month now and using it almost every day I canunequivocally say that the bike is incredible. It truly is a great climbing bike however fast on the flat equally, having taken aero features from previous Madone models. I now breeze past others with minimal effort and although I would like to take the credit it is down to the magnificence of the bike.Any issues? Just change the tyres as soon as you get it, the Bontragers it comes with are slick and fast but on London’s roads they were split all over with punctures a plenty in a matter of days.Service from Sigma was great even during these COVID times. Special thanks to Ian Rooke.

Probably the best all round Trek road bike so far
30 October 2020

I've owned a few Treks. Most recently a Madone 9 etap which was extremely fast and an Emonda SLR RSL which was the polar opposite. Extremely light and agile but not in the slightest bit aero. So I would have expected this new Emonda to be close to its predecessor but I found it to be more like the Madone in its handling and overall feel. The ability to climb is still there. Its so easy to just push up a gradient and its one of the few bikes where I feel so much happier moving up a gear and really pushing out the saddle. Then when you hit the flat is still just feels effortless in the way it picks up speed. Considering its a disc brake bike the low weight is impressive. Then when you hit the flat is still just feels effortless in the way it picks up speed. Considering its a disc brake bike the low weight is impressive. It can feel a little bit unsteady at the back on bumpy roads. I never felt out of control or bashed about mind. The lack of isospeed compared to the Madone is noticeable but weight will always be its primary aim not comfort. 95% of the time it feels as steady as a rock. The wheels are pretty good. Not fantastic but as far as stock wheels go, I've seen much worse at this price point. The tyres are reasonable. I would think brand preference will always be a personal thing so I never really bother worrying about them. Ill probably fit something different soon as would most. Saddle is another thing that is a personal preference. But its comfortable enough. Again I have my preferred type and ill no doubt swap it out soon.A few things some have mentioned which although it doesn't bother me, some might find a bit annoying is the paintwork on the Rage Red/ Black (as shown) has a lip on the top tube and seat stays where it meets the nude carbon. There is also a quite visible line on in the carbon which is normal but a little unsightly. Another is the cable routing under the bars. There are better ways the cables have been integrated on other brands but it works well. Its not a flat out aero bike like the Madone so its not so big a deal for me. Even so, its pretty clean looking at the front end.Currently I have the stock 25mm bontrager tyres on but I could easily get 28mm and even wider with room to spare.Overall, I'd say without a doubt this is the best all round road bike Trek has made to date. Its not as light as the old Emonda and not as aero as the Madone but for real world day to day riding it ticks so many boxes I find it hard to think of a better bike right now. Thats my opinion anyway and for the riding I do its spot on.

Very good road bike
8 December 2021

Trek Emonda is my favourite bike now. As a starter rider my average has really increased from 18Km/h to 24.4Km/h. A very smooth bike, light weight and easy to ride. The team at cycles galleria, Altona Meadows was really friendly and helpful. I am happy to recommend them.

Very nice bike
14 November 2020

As soon as I got it out of the box I fell in love with it. The photos online don't do it justice.Straight away riding it I found it to be a bit more forgiving than other road bikes that I'd tried, with less vibration transferred to me.Riding it is so much fun, accelerating is as easy as thinking that you want to go faster and boom, you are. Brakes are consistent and reliable, and the gears shift smoothly and easily. My only gripe is that while the rear wheel has a quick release lever, the front does not, meaning that I need to include an allen key so that I can change the tyre if I need to. Not a big deal though.I love it and wish I'd got one sooner.

WOW!!!!!
25 November 2021

I mean WOW! Words can’t describe how good this weapon is! Light, fast and agressive! What a combo! Steve McQueen would have a field day on this bad boy! Just went up Pendle hill in zone 2 and took the KOM! Dave Brailsford rang me last night and asked if I wanted a slot! Sorry mate not interested, all I want to do is take KOMS and on this baby anything is possible! My only negative is that it didn’t come with a skin suit so I can ride around on training rides and be EXTRA FAST! Overall, if your miserable in life, go buy this!

Wow! What a bike!
8 November 2021

I purchased a Trek Emonda SLR 6 for riding those hills of Kent during the summer months (I have a winter Trek Domane). I've been out on a few test rides already and all I can say is how amazed I am. The bike is so light, smooth and instantly kicks-in when you put the power down (both on the flats and up the toughest of climbs). eTap makes gear changing smooth and seamless and I love the viper red and carbon blue colour scheme. Great bike and great service at Sigma Sports.
