Triple 8 Tri Pack Saver Pacific Beach - Medium

This product not only protects me from my many tumbles, they are cute as well! I also would love to review the amazing service I received because there was initially a problem when I received my purchase (things happen). From the moment I started the online chat until the problem was fixed, the service was great. They were quick to fix the problem to above satisfaction all while being extremely professional & friendly. I can’t recommend skate pro enough!! This was my first time purchasing from them & it won’t be my last :)

Brilliant concept!

This skateboard for kids idea is such an amazing concept and so well executed by the folks at SKATEXS. We ordered and received (quickly) the complete beginner board for our 7 year old who we enrolled in skate camp during spring break this year (2022). I have several "standard" boards of my own and there's no way he would have managed the weight and size of one of mine. He would have been discouraged the whole time. The SKATEXS board totally levels the playing field for the younger beginners. The bamboo and deck size and softer wheels are the perfect combination to foster control and confidence right from the start. Our son had a blast, and we're super thankful SKATEXS help skate camp be such a success.

Crash Tested

I bought these back in October but held off on writing a review until I truly tested them. I recently bought a Onewheel and needed some pads to keep everything safe while I learned how to ride. I've experienced a lot of spills over the past month while learning and these pads have held up perfectly. The other day I had a hard fall on the Onewheel moving at approx. 6-7 mph. Wrist and elbow took the brunt of the impact and the pads held up perfectly. Still a bit sore from the fall but zero scrapes or injuries. My only complaint is that while the knees and elbows fit perfectly as a size L, the wrists are slightly lose and I would probably want to try a size down. Does the job, economical choice

I like that the saver series contains the 3 sets of pads but you can only choose one size for all of them to come in. I really only have an issue with the elbow pads. The straps are stretchy with velcro at the ends to stick onto the body of the pad to be secure. I guess I have smaller elbows so I have to stretch the straps to make them tight but since only the ends have the soft velcro, that means the the pokey velcro on the body of the pad touches the part of the strap that don't have the velcro. So when you take off the elbow pads, the part of the strap that was touching the pokey velcro gets messed up (the strings that make up the fabric are pulled out). I mostly unintentionally fall forward and backward and use my hands (save my tailbone!) when rollerskating (newbie here!). I haven't fallen too much on my knees and elbow but I think they will help with the impact when I do. They are padded, comfortable to wear, and don't shift around.One thing that I found weird was the smell. It is hard to describe, almost like an old musty book, but it wasn't pleasant. I think the source of the smell was from the cardboard box that holds the pads, so just go ahead and place that in the recycling bin.(Originally, I wanted to purchase some 187 Killer Pads but they are more expensive and do not come in a saver series set with all 3 sets of pads.)

Everything was perfect.

I know nothing about skateboarding at all but even I can tell that this is a quality board. My five year old loves it - especially as I let her choose the design and she went for the unicorn (obviously). Love the colors, feels safe and like it will last a good while as she grows with it. Knee pads etc also great - wrist guards have already made their worth known. Highly recommend this company. Oh and considering we got the board customized, it still arrived super-quick.

Excellent quality and customer service

I'm pretty new to skating and skating outdoors especially, so I wanted to make sure I felt protected and I'm just so pleased with my purchase. The pads are so cute and comfortable and have already saved me in a few tumbles. They didn't slip and the Velcro never came loose. Plus customer service was quick to respond and so helpful when I needed a different size! I'll definitely be a repeat customer for any of my future skate gear needs :)

Great quality at a great price

Ordered these for my son. I used triple eight back when I learned to skate so was only natural that I bought the same for my kids. The pads are built really well with quality materials. The fit of everything is perfect (make sure you measure for the wrist guards) and it doesn't feel uncomfortable to my son...which is HUGE since we've had issues in the past with other pads for mountain biking, etc.All of the pads are super light weight too which is a nice bonus, and the velcro is nice and sturdy and provides that custom fit so they're not sliding all over the place. It also let us put them over his pants or his bear knees and elbows with no discomfort or issues with mobility.If I could give 6 stars I would! Highly recommend.

It All Fits

These were perfect! I have a terrible combination of small hands/wrist and being a little on the heavier side, so it's pretty hard to find a safety gear set that will fit me in every place. One Size Fits Most is true for the elbow and knee pads! The wrist guards, which I was still able to get in a small, are comfortable and fit well. The elbow and knee pads are also very comfortable and breathe well. Highly recommend!

More 'form' than 'function'

I got these almost exclusively so I could wear them with fun, colorful outfits to skating events where I wasn't really worried about falling. For that use, they're almost perfect. They look awesome and they offer the standard "basic" set of injury-protection, though I find the straps to be pretty dang uncomfortable on bare skin (I almost never skate in long sleeves or pant legs). I wouldn't personally use these for anything like park, derby, or other high-impact skating, but if you need the bare minimum and want to jazz up your fit, these are great! Would also make for great kids/beginner sets.

These are amazing

My daughter is a little skinny Minnie and these protection pads fit great! The straps are super soft and stretchy so she doesn’t feel like they are cutting into her and I love that each side is the reverse of the other so the straps all go the correct way. They fit greatly and don’t slide. She doesn’t even have to wear jeans in order to keep the knee ones up. The wrist pads give amazing support with an extra buffer between the hand and hard plate. On top of all that, the color is super cute and can match her helmet. 10 out of 10 will be recommending this brand going forward. It’s worth every penny.
