Old school tough!

I recently got a high quality forged bit set for a good price and wanted a good magnetic bit driver to match. This thing is extremely rugged! More so than drivers costing three times as much! The grip is the perfect thickness and shape for applying big torque , the shaft is very heavy gauge and literally impossible to deflect! The magnetic end ( good strong magnet, pulls bits in with a satisfying snap!) is machined down a few mm thinner from the one piece of steel instead of being pushed on like many others. This driver very solid and will last a lifetime!

This is a heavy and well-built screwdriver. It's by far the heaviest screwdriver I own, and I can't see anything failing on this, other than possibly the magnet holding the bits might perhaps fall out. However, a serious issue is that the screwdriver bits are held so tightly by the bit holder that only the Torx bits and flatblade bits can be removed by fingers. The Phillips and Pozidrive bits will require you to use pliers or another tool to get them out. You can use the handle to wiggle the Phillips #3 out (and the #2, just). The only thing I can suggest is to make the holes bigger with a file or drill, as I did.The bit holder will slide off the screwdriver if held upside down, so I suggest looping some string through the hole for the screwdriver so that it ... MoreThis is a heavy and well-built screwdriver. I suggest you just buy a single Phillips #2, or a different set.- If you want this for the torx bits, this might be for you, as you can (just) get these out with your fingers.- If you want this mainly for the handle to use with bits you already own, this is a great buy.
