Tropiclean Fresh Breath Water Additive Plus Hip & Joint 473ml

I thought my dog would not drink her water with this additive but she actually drinks more than she had before. She currently can not have her teeth professionally cleaned due to medical issues so I decided to use this additive as well as the gel which is applied to eash side of her mouth on gum and it is a self cleaning gel. Both seen to work well and some if her tartar is getting easy to remove by hand. It did not show any difference at first and takes some time to do the job but with constsntuse and changing her water daily i am seeing a marked difference. Causes bad diarrhea

Unfortunately this gave my dog really bad diarrhea and discomfort. I wasn't sure if this was what caused the diarrhea initially so I took her off this for a couple days and added it back into her water after she recovered, she proceeded to have diarrhea again the next day. Possibly different effects for different breeds. Coco is a Toy Poodle of 4kg for reference but i would not recommend this product either way.

Effective

Despite regular brushing my Italian greyhound/ toy poodle cross suffered bad breath and plaque as well as bad breath. With this added to his dental health regime there is definitely a great improvement in that his breath no longer smells! and since having his teeth cleaned at the vet the plaque has not returned. Only been using it for about three months but will carry on. Lasts well as I'm just coming to the end of the first bottle,although I admit that he does not drink as much as other dogs I've had.

My dog would not drink this. I tried even adding the smallest amount to his water and he wouldn't touch it. He can clearly smell it as he will go sniff the water then lift his head and walk away. I tried for days with smaller and smaller amounts. Eventually I gave him a bit more and that day he actually drank it. The next morning he had diarrhea. He's never had diarrhea before and didn't eat anything else new that could have done it. He had diarrhea consistently for three days straight. I ended up having to bring him to the vet and pay $400 in vet bills. I do not recommend. For reference, my dog is a 10-12 lb chihuahua. He is 4 years old. Great product that works, but poor bottle and top!

I would like to start by saying this product really did work for my miniature poodle and pomeranian. Both dogs had bad breath, but after using this product daily I can smell a huge difference. I normally will pour a capful in their water fountain just before I leave for work and when I return home the bad breath smell is gone. I will say that if you pour too much of this product(my mistake) in a doggie water fountain it will produce bubbles in the water, but this did not deter my dogs from drinking the water. Now even though this product may work well for dogs with bad breath it can be discouraging and frustrating to the pets owner because of the poorly design and function of the bottle's top. Also, the instructions on the bottle ask that you shake it before using which I want to warn anyone who is considering purchasing this item that...THE LIQUID WILL SHAKE OUT EVERYWHERE.....I replaced the top with a functioning top and again the product works great. This is the reason for my 4 stars. Once the top is fixed I will then rate this product overall excellent. Thank you for reading my review.

Healthy mouth!

Great breath! Healthy teeth and and nice puppy smile! I will always use this stuff ! Always have backup! Never give my dog water without it. I can’t brush my dogs teeth so this is the second best thing.

Helps with our dog's breath

Yes, I tasted it first. Tastes like flat 7-Up. Our dog drinks his water like normal, as he doesn't dislike the flavor. Helps with our dog's breath. No proof it helps with tartar, but next best thing when you have a dog, like ours, that will not allow you to brush his teeth.

Review of TropiClean Fresh Breath Dental Health Solution Plus Hip & Joint for Dogs 473ml

Just started using this and the dogs love it and it has made a real difference to their breath lol. We used to use Aquadent but they changed it to green and the dogs wouldn't drink it. This is clear and you can't smell it so they don't notice it usually . It does foam a bit when putting the water in but goes fairly quickly

Teeth are white again!

Our three year old dog was getting stained teeth and rotten breath from eating salmon flavored food. After going through only half a bottle of this stuff, his teeth are WHITE again! The stains faded and disappeared. His gums are less red, and his breath smells so much better! This was a FABULOUS investment. HIGHLY recommend. It might work extra well for our dog because he is an "enthusiastic" drinker and the water touches all his teeth, but I don't know if that actually makes any difference. Our dog would not drink a different brand of water additive. He actually growled at his bowl and refused to drink. He was slightly hesitant about the TropiClean at first, but very quickly got used to it. He doesn't seem to care at all now. I'm very happy about this product.

Works but dog doesn't want to drink water

I read before I bought this product, that some dogs don\'t like the water after you add this. So at first, my dog drank the water but then she stopped. She would come up, smell it and walk away. After a while, I switched to fresh water, without this product, and she drank so much so she was definitely thirsty but unwilling to drink. I can say that after using this for 2 days, her breath did smell good! So the product works! But she\'s not drinking it so I have a full bottle sitting in my pantry - maybe we\'ll try again when she\'s older.
