Absolutely the most comfortable bike helmet made. I've owned many helmets over the years and most are good to very good, but this helmet is great. One of the things I like most about it is the excellent coverage of the back of your head. Also, the pads are in the right places and do not bind up or feel awkward. In fact you just forget you are even wearing a helmet and yet you are actually wearing one of the safest helmets you can buy. A little pricey, but your head is worth it.

This is the best helmet I have ever worn. It is comfortable, cool, highly adjustable, easy to rinse after a ride, and based on reviews, very protect that that whole brain thing. I really like that way it channels forehead sweat away from my face.Oh, and it is great looking. This is the only helmet for which I got paid a compliment by another rider. Obviously a case of helmet envy.

The MOST comfortable helmet I've ever worn. Those funny advertisements were spot-on. I remember thinking they could've used my skull to design these helmets. Perfect fit. I own an A2 and two A3's now. Always wore a sweatband with my A2 but ditched them when I got my A3's. Sweat Dam is amazing and the new front air vents keep my noggin cool. Retention is amazing and I love the magnetic chin strap connection. A buddy of mine just picked one up and my sister bought one as soon as she tried mine on. The best.

My first TLD helmet, coming from Giro and Bell helmets I've been using for the last decade. I am pleasantly surprised how comfortable this helmet is. It feels like the helmet is wrapped around the head. I really appreciate how design of this helmet addresses little things, like magnetic buckle (super convenient) or piece of foam over the eyes area to keep sweat away. I do, however, have mixed feelings about that fin on the back of the helmet. What's the point of that thing? Does it even have a purpose? Looks like a weird little fantasy of a designer who spent all night watching "Star Trek". Overall, absolutely awesome product.
These are my go to helmets. The fit is great for a family of 4 and the airflow is nice. The sticky closed cell foam sweat band on the forehead comes loose is my only complaint, but I think it was a fair attempt to adding that feature. Not sure what sticky removable sweat band would work and a velcro one would likely be bulky and uncomfortable.
Initial impressions of course, but after one ride in the A3 MIPS helmet, I'm a big fan. I once tried on a TLD A1 and instantly was uncomfortable, so I had my hesitations trying out the A3 MIPS helmet. Pulled it out of the box, threw it on, and was blown away at how comfortable it is and how well it fits my head. The adjustable boa system and ability to move the rear stabilizer fit system (the plastic that cradles the back of your head) up and down allows you to find that perfect fit. I personally wish it were halfway between the lowest two notches, but the middle does just fine. The ventilation is next level as well. The lightweight helmet breathes incredibly well on the way up, and for someone that overheats easily, that is clutch. The adjustable visor uses ... The adjustable visor uses magnets, so it's easy to adjust, but stays in place even on rowdy sections of trail. Troy Lee Designs absolutely crushed it with the A3 MIPS helmet. A stylish, yet incredibly functional design leaves you looking great while being protected. Oh and the magnetic buckle is easy to do and undo with one hand, yet stays locked on the ride with zero concern. Sizing is on par with Smith and POC helmets as well. Easy to slide your sunglasses into the front of the helmet for storage as well.
Seriously the most comfortable helmet I’ve ever had! Transitioned from another very expensive competitor helmet and it’s a night and day difference! I could wear this helmet all day without issue, zero pressure point spots, still has good ventilation in humid 90+ degree weather and looks great!
The most comfortable helmet I have had yet. TLD stuff starts off kind of tight, so the first few hours the helmet has an extra tight fit. Eventually the pads conform to your head and the helmet fits perfectly. The sweat band above your eyes should be used in every helmet because it works that well. Sunglasses fit nicely while wearing them and stow above the visor with ease. Overall 5 stars for comfort and lightness. I can't say anything about protection and hopefully don't have to know how it feels in a crash. It has a good rating on the Virgina Tech helmet research site which is enough for me especially considering how light it is.
Comfortable with lots of airflow. The fit is perfect. Comes with an extra set of pads and squeegee. The new magnetic clip is cool and really easy to use once you figure it out. The TLD A-series helmets are the only ones I'll buy. I thought the A1 and A2 helmets were great. The A3 is even better.
I have been riding in this helmet for a few weeks, solid. I was a bit uncomfortable spending over $200 on a trail lid, as anything i've bought in the past was about 150 max. A friend of mine that knows product well, swore i'd love the helmet.I do.It is so comfortable and packed with features that made me have zero buyers remorse. The ability to refine the fit as well simply with the adjuster, but if you want to go beyond and tune the comfort liner was a cool option. It looks great, feels incredible, vents well, looks like a expensive piece of kit.A+ job from these people. I am a 56cm and the M/L fits me like a glove with about 1/3rd to almost half of the retention dial turned in.
