The Skyline Shorts are brilliant mountain biking all-rounders, equally at home on a leisurely trail ride through to hard-charging enduro riding. And the casual style looks equally at home on or off the bike too. When you're enjoying the dirt under your wheels, then the 2-way stretch fabric comes into its own, providing a brilliant level of freedom. These MTB shorts let you pedal and manoeuvre your bike with ease. CoolMax technology is also deployed, ensuring superb moisture control so you never feel overwhelmed with sweat when riding hard. Made from an environmentally sustainable Bluesign certified approved fabric, you're also doing your bit for the environment. At the waist, the combination of waist adjusters, snap closures and a silicone inner grip lock the Skylines firmly in place. With 2 zipped pockets, you also have space to stash essentials close to hand, as well as cash for a post-ride sweet treat. TLD Ride Fit The Ride Fit is the one for your everyday mountain biking. It's a looser style, not too casual but not too racey either. It features a relaxed cut for easy on-the-bike movement, smooth pedalling and space for pads. It's an MTB trail riding fit you can take it easy in or get rowdy - you decide. It’s found on the Skyline, Flowline and Lilium ranges.

I've got an older version of these shorts that have always been my favorite, but the velcro fly finally went out. Orders these as replacements and they're even better now that they have a zipper. Hoping to get another 6-7 yrs out of these. Fit great, nice material, and work great pairing with my road cycling bibs.

Comfy Light Summer Shorts, Wish They Had Sweat-Protected Pockets

I had a pair of these shorts in black and decided to get this pair in marine blue. The shorts are very light for summer riding, comfy, and durable with just enough fabric stretchiness. I do wish the pocked zippers were a little bigger/robust.Also, I don't like the mesh pocket lining. It might be nice to open the pocket zips and circulate some fresh air into your nether region, but the whole point of zip pockets is to zip them up so I don't lose stuff while riding. Instead the mesh backing allows sweat to get all over the stuff in my pocket. I've had to start riding with my phone in a ziplock bag to protect while in my pocket. Not ideal.

Great baggy short, crazy tight liner
12 June 2024

I love these outer shorts, super breathable, useful pockets, comfy on the bike, my favorite for hot days. This is my second pair. The inner short is ridiculously tight, like for a small child. I’m 5’10, 145ish and a 30 in the baggy short fits great. I could hardly get the liner on and thought I might rip it trying. Way tighter than even Castelli stuff. I have other TLD gear, helmet, jerseys, etc. and the fit is spot on. Something went amiss with the size of these liners. They were on sale, so I kept the outer short but will have to donate the liner to some kid.

Great shorts
19 August 2024

Got these for my boyfriend who rides. They’re the newer, and apparently improved version of the same shorts he’s loved for a few years. He said they feel great, better the “favorite” pair so 5 stars! He’s getting another pair in a 2nd color!

Love these shorts! Crashed yesterday
28 March 2023

Love these shorts! Crashed yesterday and they held up great. The material and the fabric allows them to breath . Just keep the zipper on the pockets slightly open. The weather in Florida is already cooking and i have no worries wearing these shorts. I can't wear liners in shorts so the no liner option is great. Would recommend to everyone. The skyline jersey is a great pairing and drys quickly.

OK Shorts, but some issues.
2 June 2024

Fit and material is good. Pockets are good size and zippers 9including at zipper) are quality/work well. But as with almost all shorts that have the Velcro adjust waist, these creep down. The “Skyline” logo inside the waistband is the grippy rubbery material, and I thought this would prevent them falling down (I have a pair of Pearl Izumi shorts that successfully pull this off), but it’s not enough. The waistband adjustment is just not heavy enough duty - the elastic is too elastic, and the Velcro contact patch isn’t large enough. Also, the button closure is vague feeling - it doesn’t “snap” together audibly. It presses together in a mushy sort of way that always makes me wonder how long it will last. EXTREMELY glad that I got these on sale and didn’t pay full ... MoreFit and material is good. Pockets are good size and zippers 9including at zipper) are quality/work well. TLD for the win
5 June 2023

This must be my 7th or 8th pair of TLD mountain bike shorts. And as usual, the Skyline does not disappoint. The fabric is sturdy yet not too heavy. The fit is spot on. I am a size 34 waist, and this size Large short is perfect. The pockets are roomy and zip closures are great. The leg length is perfect. This and the Skyline Air Short are my go to styles for mountain biking.

These shorts deliver
2 July 2023

Lightweight and breathable. I’m 5’11 and 165 lbs and a size medium works great for me. I also appreciate the adjustable sides, so the shorts sit perfectly on the waist. The stretch was perfect and I don’t notice these while riding. The zipper pockets are a nice touch and add to breathability when they are unzipped.

Too short for riding with pads
12 October 2022

The short material feels light and durable. The zipper fly and pockets appear sturdy. Unfortunately the shorts are too short. The inseam is only around 12" compared to the inseam of 14" on my other shorts. This leads to a gap between my shorts and pads. They would be great for people with short legs or someone riding without pads. Also the blue color is not as bright as shown in the picture.
