Favorite warm & hot weather shorts. Had a pair for 1 season and bought a 2nd pair. Looks like they have "updated" with new fabric so bought a 2nd pair while they're still available. Highly vented mess front is awesome. Yeah it's a little see through, but doesn't matter if you wear a liner. Fit is good. A tad baggy, but not problematic.

I love these outer shorts, super breathable, useful pockets, comfy on the bike, my favorite for hot days. This is my second pair. The inner short is ridiculously tight, like for a small child. I’m 5’10, 145ish and a 30 in the baggy short fits great. I could hardly get the liner on and thought I might rip it trying. Way tighter than even Castelli stuff. I have other TLD gear, helmet, jerseys, etc. and the fit is spot on. Something went amiss with the size of these liners. They were on sale, so I kept the outer short but will have to donate the liner to some kid.

These shorts are awesome for true to size. Great air flow to keep cool while comfortable. Only criticism is the liner is much more snug. Liner send a whole size smaller than the shorts. I'd still buy again.

The shorts are fantastic. The length, fabric, size are all as expected. The liner is the absolute worst I’ve experienced in 25 years of cycling. They’re a noticeably smaller fit in the crotch than the shorts and noticeably smaller crotch fit than other TLD liners I have from previous years in the same size. To make matters worse, the fabric is rough. I experienced significant and painful chafing from a simple 15 mile route that I ride daily.
I love the breathability of the short, but the liner was too tight in the thighs for the shorts that fit my waist. Luckily the liner is removable. I just wish the short without the liner had been in stock.
When wearing shorts, it’s hot. These have a light color that absorbs less heat, & they’re so ventilated you can see through the front half. There is literally no other MTB short that deals with heat as good. TLD has a much roomier & comfortable fit in the hips & thighs than most others, too.
The Good: the outer is great, fits me well, has unique design that I didn't see anywhere else. The Bad: the liner is a joke. It fits no one except the 5 year olds, and I'm not exaggerating. I ignored the reviews that complained about the liner size and thought how bad could it be? Well, the reviews are all true and correct, and I'm surprised to see TLD launched/made a product that is this defective. I ended up tossing the TLD liner and bought a liner from another brand that cost me an additional $70.Final Verdict: I can't recommend Skyline Air Short w/liner to anyone. If you stick with TLD, other shorts without liners would be a much better choice.
These are my go to shorts. My first pair have been worn easily 50 times. Light weight but they stand up to rigorous riding and numerous washings. I sweat heavily and overheat easily so the breathability is awesome. I wear them even when the weather is in the low 50’s up here in the Tahoe area. The fit is spot on; true 34 waist and perfect length. Waistband does not roll, Zip pockets are good and deep for iPhone 12.
Great short, great quality, and breathe well...just what I was looking for. I personally don't like elastic waist bands and I am between the 32" and 34" size so I went with the 34" thinking I could adjust using the velcro tabs. Just a little too big but otherwise a fantastic product.
these come with a liner which i think is a little more snug than i prefer but they are of really nice quality and the shorts are perfect. i am super happy with this purchase. the zippers for the pockets are also very high quality, which is important.
