3 season trouser

The waist and leg fit is true to size the only criticism I have is the ankle is a bit narrow allowing the trouser to not cover the sock / shoe very well allowing cold air and water to drip in the shoe. Definitely not a winter trouser as the venting is too efficient and not shower proof. The fabric is durable and of good quality if somewhat stiff.

I ride in New England. When it's above 40ºF, I tend to wear shorts, and then I switch to pants when it is below (under which I'll wear wool long underwear if necessary). The Sprint is my first cycling-specific pants (I had been riding with soft-shell pants with a rubber band around the right ankle). These pants aren't designed for cold weather (they have a good bit of mesh in their construction), but I think they'll do fine with the long underwear. The articulated knees are great, but the back could be a little higher-rise, given the posture we find ourselves in while on a bike.I'm 6' 3", so the inseam is a bit shorter than I'd like (check out the photos).Generally, a great pair of pants for mountain biking.

Great pants

I own these pants in charcoal and slate blue and they are honestly great. The fabric is tough but breathable and very flexible. Plus, they have a a little extra room in knees and shin area so you can easily fit pads under them. Only thing I will say is that they tend to fit slightly smaller than other pants so I would recommend sizing up. Great pants all in all though.

Great pants, horrible pocket
4 January 2022

Black 32s at 5'9" and 190lbs. Great pants, five stars overall, but the pocket gets a ZERO STARS from me. Something about the material that ends up pulling the liner out every time I grab my phone. Then I have to stop to jam the pocket liner in, put my phone in, and zip the pocket closed. Even without the liner issue and with the snug fit, the pocket won't zip without a second hand. A "map pocket" on the side of the thigh would be better, with a canted opening and a deep pocket. But they are comfortable, tough, breath well, and are exactly what I wanted other than the pocket.

Great quality, just didn't feel right.
28 February 2023

Really nice quality and well thought out design. Look as though they will last a while with durable material where it is needed. Only reason to mark them down was the fit. I have mates who love these but for me the fit just didn't feel right. They have a strong seam down the centre in the crotch area which I couldn't get used to.

Ouch my knee! What?!
30 November 2020

I own many TLD pieces - normally very happy with fit, function and quality. These pants were a major blooper however. Most notably, a very rough/abrasive internal seam at the right knee took skin off to the point of bleeding on a single ride - pants fit very snugly, and contact between knee and seam was like sandpaper, rubbed me raw. Not cool.In terms of fit, compared to size 36 TLD shorts (I own Ruckus and Resist), waist on these is very snug as are legs and crotch. I have waist adjustment tabs fully open and I can barely get them buttoned. They are comfortable to wear riding aside from the issue with knee seam, but I'd prefer a bit more relaxed fit. My legs are not bulky - if you have swole quads, forget it. All in all...these are going back to TLD. Disappointing..

Pants are fire
12 August 2022

In my personal opinion, these pants are only to be purchased if your a gnarly shredder. I am now worthy of these pants and they are sick. Whips and tables with no restrictions. Knee pads stay in place. The fit is slightly tight in certain areas but I have a weird body type so mostly everything fits this way. Big muscles and very short. But this does not restrict. 4+ years been waiting to be good enough and now I am stoked on the purchase. will be purchasing more in the near future.

TLD Sprint Pants
29 January 2021

I ordered a size 32. Im 6 feet tall with a 32 waist and these fit perfectly in the waist and length. At first I didnt think they would fit my knee pads but the stretchy material around the calf worked and the pads fit great for an all day ride. I have two complaints. First there are no belt loops and the Velcro waist tightener didnt stay out for me so I had to keep retightening it throughout the ride. Second these pants have no leg zippers for quick venting and especially for access to knee pads for subtle adjustment. So you are basically pulling your pants down on trail if your knee pads need adjustment. The navy blue color is great, subtle and easy to color match. Otherwise these are sick pants and will get abused here in the PNW. Looking forward to my next ride!

TLD Sprint Pants
7 March 2023

This is my second pair of these pants. I have noticed that they are on the smaller size compared to other TLD pants that I have purchased, but knowing this I size up. The fit is great once you have the correct size with plenty of room for knee pads, but slim enough fit to prevent the legs from snagging on cranks, pedals for chain. They also breath very well and can be worn in warmer weather.

We love the quality, style,
2 January 2023

We love the quality, style, and visibility of these pants. They wash up very nicely- no fading or dulling so far with washing LOTS of mud out of them. That said… Measure twice then size up. We bought the 26 since the measurements indicated that as the correct size, but they fit tight to his body and hit at the top of his ankle. Arguably, they could have worked, but we returned for a 28 and are much happier. (Note: return was super easy and employees at Troy Lee are hella nice). My 11 (almost 12) year old wears a 28. He is 5’ 2” and 94 pounds. Just in case that helps someone.
