TRX really need to improve their installation and usage videos with less of a marketing focus. The videos are brief and move too fast. They don't provide enough context / variations. Instead you wind up on YouTube watching 100 videos from random people to try to find something to answer your question.Would have loved to see:- Examples of mounting this in different orientations- Examples of how to mount it with higher ceilings, garage rafters for example- Examples of how to lash the extension to this and then connect the TRX

I was surprised at the size and weight of this TRX mount. VERY well-made! The instructions were extraordinarily detailed, but would be much improved for English-speaking clients by including both metric and Imperial measurements, and all clients would benefit by some pictures.Once up on the wall according to instructions it feels VERY safe and sturdy. We had been using our TRX over a solid wood door at our house for 3 years. My husband re-enforced the door frame, but I was still a bit nervous. We are creating a full home gym at our new house. It has hollow core doors and I was very glad to find that TRX makes its own TRX Brand Wall & Ceiling Mount. Well done TRX! I like the new size. The mount I use outside is the round version and does not have the rubber backing. I installed the new mount inside on the drywall, and it did not damage the drywall. increasing the distance between the mounting holes should also help.

We recently remodeled a room to accommodate a home gym. This ceiling mount was a great option to have the strap positioned in a good location. The ceiling beams were in a good spot for us to anchor the TRX. Now the strap is easily accessible!
Bought and installed 3 of these when we kitted out a home gym during the pandemic - one for overhead, and two more to use with the rip trainer. The ones at waist and ankle height also come in handy when working with resistance bands, etc., so my partner and I get a lot of use out of them. They were simple to install, and 2+ years in of frequent use and they're still rock solid. Definitely make sure you have a good mounting surface/location, though.
When I first tried installing the amount, one of the bolts snapped. I did everything according to instruction guide. So I went to Home Depot and bought a bolt replacement. Then I tried at a different location (first trying the TRX given bolt) since I was no longer able to use the first spot with the snapped bolt still placed in the stud.But guess what... it also snapped. Poor Quality.I tried a third time with the bolts I have got at Home Depot which were stainless steel wood screws at the same width. They’re installed and work just great.I have to say I’m very discouraged by the mount. What if this bolt snapped while my wife and I were using the suspension trainer? The TRX Xmount is perfect for my needs. I had a perfect place in my garage to setup an exercise station. However there wasn't a door or other similar device to secure the straps. The Xmount fixed that issue. Installation was very easy and I feel the mount is extremely secure.
Much nicer than sticking the TRX straps in the door frame. Easy setup and installation, very sturdy and not worried about putting all my weight behind it. My wife likes that it is white and matches our existing paint in the rood where I hung. Nice to not need any wort of stand alone equipment frames in order to use it.
Works better then anticipated with better exercise not tied to a door. This also has excellent quality with a nice powder coat. I do question the necessity of the size, although I did see the measurements I was still surprised at the size.
Was sent a defective TRX mount, returned it. The refund appears to be minus original shipping we paid and also appears to be less 10% of the item purchase price. We purchased the item in good faith, paid for shipping and asked to return it after being sent a cosmetically damaged unit. We should be entitled to a full refund and TRX should inspect packages better before sending them out. This cosmetic issue is a common problem as evidenced by reviews on-line. My guess is you don't post this review- disingenuous for customers.
