Easy to learn. You can explain the rules within a minute and it's easy to set up. Have played this with a range of different people in bigger and smaller groups and everyone has loved it. A perfect warm-up game at the beginning of a games night.

The game looked like it might be something special however, we were playing our 1st game on our regular game night (2 couples) and within 5 mins 2 of the players were knocked out. The remainder of the game took a further 30 mins very boring for those not playing. I will not be buying any other games that eliminate players to find a winner.

A delightful, elegant little game.

Plays quickly, simple rules, but engaging throughout. Very beautifully presented. An excellent 'filler' game for when you have time to kill, but not enough to justify a long-playing game like Betrayal at House on the Hill or Dead Of Winter.

Excellent re-imagining of Tsuro. Instead of paths, you place 'wakes' through the ocean. There are kaiju that appear on the map, move around, remove wake tiles, and sink ships. The board is smaller than Tsuro, requiring riskier moves. Dice determine starting tile for each kaiju, as well as how they move. Overall I find this version to be less strategic than Tsuro, due to the unpredictable kaiju, but more fun for the same reason.

Tedious and clunky where the original is quick and elegant

The extra rules added by TOTS simply ruin everything that is good about Tsuro by introducing a slow, fiddly, random factor to every single turn of the game. TOTS has a slightly larger board and can be played without those additional rules, so this might still be of interest if you like this art better or have larger player counts; but otherwise just buy the original Tsuro (which is great).

A clever tile-laying game that creates paths for you and your opponents to follow. But beware! Not all paths are safe and you may find yourself leaving the board or even moving headlong into an opponent, neither of which can be good. A game for 2 - 8 players that try to plan a strategy with a hand of 3 tiles. players take turns to lay a tile then move along the path and draw another tile if still in the game. The last player standing wins, unless when the last tile is played the remaining players all leave the board on the same turn or bump into each other thus forcing a tie. Another favorite game of my family. Ideal to warm up with at the start of a get together.

Having played this previously (and being knocked out in my second go due to an overly aggressive child!) I was desperate for my own copy to practise the game and exact my revenge!Tsuro is a fantastically simple game, requiring the minimum of explanation, a quick gameplay time and the elegant board is different to every other game in my collection. It plays just as well with two as it does a larger number of people (although different strategies need to be employed). And if you do get knocked out in your second go, it's still fun to watch the game conclude and the next round doesn't take too long before you can play again.I still need to refine my game-playing approach, but I will beat that child one day.

I am very interested to buy the game as I have tried out the mobile version of it.The tiles and board were nicely made and gameplay is fast (averaging 5-10 mins per game).I was skeptical if it would be a good family game as the approach and play might be too easy for the teens and adults. To my surprise, I actually have adults liking it more than the kids.We liken it to a more strategic "path setting" game while the kids thought that it is "snake and ladders" with skills and planning.Survival in the game is important, eliminating opponents are as well.Good game for kids for them to use their analytic skills!

Tsuro is a great game

Tsuro is very easy to explain and quick to play. This doesn't distract from the enjoyment of the game. You have to create a flight path for your dragon and stay on the board, sounds simple right? There are some tactical plays that you can make where you force other players off the board or into a difficult situation so the game does have a tactical element to it. It plays best with 4 players but any number of players is still fun. Perhaps the game could have had one more mechanic that can help you have more interaction with other players as this is where it gets fun. This said the game has been one that I have played a lot and that is a great sign for any game. As well as this it plays very well with a range of age groups. Firstly, if you're looking for an easy intro game for non-gamers or younger players, this is a great first step. Experienced gamer looking for a zen-like filler or warm up? Yep, got that covered too. And if your idea of "art collecting " is like mine (stacked on a shelf and adored from the living room), Tsuro is a great addition. While the game itself isn't exactly a brain burner, tbe twisty tiles will keep you engaged even during the short downtime. Tsuro plays well at all counts, and games are more challenging with higher player counts. The board and components are beautifully simple and the art is lovely. Very nice to look at while my children (11 and 19) are plotting my demise. This has been a hit with everyone, and plays quickly enough to run multiple times ... MoreFirstly, if you're looking for an easy intro game for non-gamers or younger players, this is a great first step.
