TTArtisan AF 56mm f/1.8 Lens Mount Black
TTArtisan AF 56mm f/1.8 Overview A lightweight prime ideal for portraiture, the black AF 56mm f/1.8 Lens from TTArtisan is designed for use with APS-C FUJIFILM X-mount mirrorless cameras and provides a portrait-length full-frame equivalency of 84mm. Capturing images in low-light conditions is no issue with its bright maximum f/1.8 aperture. It features a minimum focusing distance of 19.7β²β² and has a stepping motor to drive the autofocus, which helps enable quiet and speedy performance. One extra-low dispersion (ED) element reduces color fringing and chromatic aberrations to achieve greater clarity and accuracy. Optical Lens Construction The optical design includes ten elements in nine groups working together to reduce dispersion and chromatic aberration. Among these are an ED and two high-index elements. Eye Detection The focusing accuracy provided by eye detection makes it easy to capture images while ensuring your subject is in focus. This is also beneficial for tracking your subject while shooting video, ensuring smooth and in-focus footage. Lens Design The lens barrel and mount are made from aluminum, contributing to the durable, yet lightweight construction. A built-in USB-C port allows for firmware updates.

Received the lens in good condition. However, I noticed that it was not sealed anymore. The tape seals are cut open already though lens didnβt have scratches and looks new. Hopefully this lens is really new. Iβm also wondering why the other lens that I ordered from the same exact shop was not delivered with it. Itβs still shipped fromchina while this one arrived a day after I placed the order.

For the price, this lens is fantastic - especially for portraits. On an crop sensor camera, it's an 84mm focal length, and looks really great. Ζ1.8 gives beautiful bokeh. Build quality is much better than expected. Metal housing, and feels great in the hand. Very happy with this lens, especially for the affordable pricing. It's not native glass - but that's OK.

This is a review for the TTArtisan AF 56mm F1.8 (e mount version): A nice value add to any photographer that is looking for a lightweight lens with that 1.8 goodness. Feels solid, though I notice that there isn't any weathersealing. There is a bit of focus breathing, though the autofocus is relatively smooth. I do appreciate that the firmware update usb thing integrated into the back cap.Lens is very sharp in the center, though soft in the corners, even when stopped down. No image stabilization in the lens itself, so something to keep in mind if you try to do video work with this.Overall, I think this is a good bang for your buck sort of lens, great for hobbyists who are looking for primes to fill in that value 50mm(ish) range with autofocus.

I had always been skeptical about these lesser expensive lenses (TT Artisans, 7 Artisans, Meike, etc). But this 56mm lens from TT Artisans has completely changed my view. I really enjoy the performance of the lens at all stops. The build is exceptionally solid (even though it's plastic), the square lens hood is perfect, and the focus throw is buttery smooth and quiet. For a mere fraction of what you'd pay for a Fuji/Nikon/Canon lens, this TT Artisan is an A+ option. Thanks again BH!
