Turtle Beach Ear Force Stealth 700P RX Wireless Gaming Headset (Pre-Owned)

Great headphones! The sound quality is amazing and the ear paddings are soft with good support. I don’t really have issue with my ears hurting. I’m using a hand me down from my husband and even though it is 4 years old, it’s still holding up very well. Aside from the head padding of course in some positions it does hurt my head after an extended time using. Connection is good, can be finicky sometimes with how Windows configure stuff but nothing of major problem. Battery lasts a long time (I charge like once a week and I use it everyday)

Comfortable headset I can wear it for hours. Sounds quality can be changed to whatever you feel like listing to just game audio or party chat, a great mix of both worlds. The durability of the headset is great. I've already had it for 2 or 3 years, and the cushion is still very firm and comfortable even with glasses on. It has a good battery life can last up for several days and it's also rechargeable

The battery life is great and charges up fairly fast. The mic quality is of a good standard I would say, me and my friends all have the same headset and all sound pretty clear. One thing we all have in common is that the headset from time to time will randomly disconnect or when the console has first started up you will need to turn off and on the headset a few times for it to actually connect and stay connected for longer than a few seconds before it disconnects without warning. Overall this headset is good, the bad sides are all honest key points I had with this device and unfortunately has out me off buying a new one and gone looking elsewhere. However for the price it can be beaten on quality of sound and what you get with this headset, it's a real market leader in price and quality, the main thing for me is the build quality in the joints should made with better material than just plastic or atleast supply a replacement part as I've had to glue mine back and have no movement in one ear (which can become uncomfortable) i will wait for another model to come out but for now I will probably move over to razer or steel series until that happens

My boyfriend loves this headset . He said they so comfortable on his head n his ears . The sound is absolutely amazing and so clear . There wireless and Bluetooth. He can pair his phone to the headset while it’s paired with the game . So he can listen to music n hear the game . They bit costly but they worth it . I purchased them on Amazon .

Good entry level.

So I've been using these for about 2 weeks now, and I'll start by saying they are very clear and the sound quality is excellent. However, the maximum volume isn't that great, i went from wired Turtle beach PX20's to these and these are noticeably quieter. They are constantly on max volume but are just about at the point you would want at that volume, only occasionally I find myself wanting it louder, mostly when wanting to listen to music. Ive tried to search Google for a fix for this as I havent seen other complaints about this but no avail yet, ive been meaning to message turtle beach about this but haven't got around to it yet as their phone lines are down currently due to the crisis.In summary, for a headset that is actually fully connectable to PlayStation, and wireless, its the bare minimum you should get. The sound is good and if you can put up without hearing yourself its suitable, but be wary of battery life.

Overall Its a decent product, sound is great a Bluetooth is nice. I just wish the transmitter did not have any spotty issues. I also live in an apartment so it could be other Bluetooth signals messing it up but i don't know. The mic is also really disappointing as i have a cheaper 30 dollar wired turtle beach headset and the mic quality is much better for people on the receiving end of my transmission. For the price its at, Bluetooth tech has always been expensive but for 100 dollars for refurbished and other problems i am having. i do not believe it warrants that price tag and could be 75 dollars.

First let me say like most people reading this I also checked yt reviews,amazon reviews etc and seems the XOne version has some issues with connection and sound but from reviews Ive read the PS4 has little if no such problems and having bought this recently I can confirm personally Ive had no probs at all on my PS4 version.No dropouts,connection to PS4 is fine etc.Build quality is ofcourse plastic so can feel a little cheapish but fits well on the head and quite comfortable.Basic presets can be done on headset but you need the mobile app or PC to change most sound settings. No probs when using that either.Also make sure your PS4 has the optical port,if not then you may as well buy a cheaper headset,no need to spend more for this one.If your PS4 does have the optical port then you will enjoy this headset and can make use of all its features.PSN friends tell me mic quality is very good.Flip up and down to mute and unmute mic is handy (though many headsets are starting to do this now and its a very welcome feature).Sound quality as very first test seemed like you are in a tunnel and I wasnt sure what to make of it but after going back to my on ear headset (Plantronics Gamecom P80) and then back to the Stealth 700 I put it down to it just being a closed over the ear type and having fully immersed sound.After using it some more it seemed fine and I found myself liking it more and more.So sound quality overall is very good.Various presets are available,ofcourse bass and treble boost prob sounds best overall I think.Superhuman hearing mode (which is what many are interested in for FPS games like CoD) sounds strange but works quite well.However I think you'll find yourself not using it as much as you would think.With regards to the surround sound I tested in private game with a mate to see if I could accurately pinpoint directions and I found most of the time you can.But its more of a feature you have get used to and train your ears for to get the most out it.Game sound and party chat volumes can be adjusted seperately from the headset (again,you need the optical port for this).The headset comes with a special optical lead that plugs into the optical port of your PS4 and into the USB dongle.There are a few other settings like mic monitoring (works well) and active noise cancellation (didnt seem that good but havent tested fully).Adjusting the volume of sound prompts and voice prompts,little things like that you can change are always welcome too.So no real cons I can think of other than it would be nice to customise the sound settings further by being able to adjust bass,centre,sides and rear seperately much like a home theatre speaker set up (my old wired Sharkoon 5.1 X-Tatic had this feature).Maybe a in a future headset firmware upgrade,who knows.You can even chat in party,listen to game sound and stream music from your phone via bluetooth all at the same time.Keep mind youll be reaching for your phone though to change music volume if streaming from it.Havent tested how long battery time lasts but the advertised time of around 10 hours seems about I right I think.Times may vary if you leave bluetooth on ofcourse.Just remember when you pair it with bluetooth to select and pair with 'Stealth 700' NOT 'Stealth 700 LE'.This is important.Also download the TB audio hub for PC and update the headset's firmware from day one too.If you are looking for a slightly upper market headset and dont wanna pay $300+ then the Stealth 700 should suit.Mightyape's current price of $225 (plus post) is the cheapest Ive found and Ive also had good support from them when ordering and asking questions.I had a small issue with post which Mightyape got onto.Overall Id recommend this headset but Id still give it a 4/5 mainly cause of the build quality but with regards to the sound and features Ive had no probs personally and it worked great,at least for me.

Also connecting to your phone enables secondary media playback like music. These are not my favorite headphones because they seem vulnerable to interference. The audio frequently glitches and occasionally goes out for several seconds at a time. These glitches vary in frequency but they can become quite frequent. I want to love these but they can be quite frustrating. I feel like they are marketed as wireless headphones, they do not come with a cord though one can be used. Pretty Decent Headset

I figured I would be the guinea pig to go and try these ones out. After reading some of the reviews of the XBOX version of these I was a bit apprehensive. These do require some help out of the box though. First, you'll want to charge them and update the firmware straight away, the use with the mobile app I personally love and it works flawlessly and instantly.Sound: The 7.1 surround sound on these sounds great. I can play and control my own music and control the input volume through my phone, then adjust the game volume in the game menus or with the volume roller on the headset. The surround sound works great, and the ability to switch to whatever sound mode you want, on the fly via the app I find way more useful than constantly pressing a mode button to scroll through them till you get the desired sound.Comfort: While these are slightly heavier than the Stealth 520's, they are definitely manageable. I found the boom mic on the 520's a little distracting at times as I could usually see it in my periphery, if it was moved out of the way it'd hit my collar or chin if I moved, so this mic is a far better design. The "flip up to mute" is great, as I believe this will eliminate those times where you're talking for 20 mins and don't realize you're muted. I don't find myself needing to reposition these on my head all the time due to discomfort. The only gripe in the ways of comfort is the leatherette ear pads as they don't breath all that well, however I know that foam tends to deaden some of the sound, and this creates a better all around seal, so I believe this is an unavoidable caveat that can't be avoided at this price point.Conclusion: The sound and functionality of these are great, with a few minor downfalls. When I purchased these, I got them home, fired them up and then realized there was a bit of broken plastic in the right ear cup, causing a rattle every time I moved my head, forcing me to return them and then travel some ways to find another set. These cannot utilize a pass through charging function, so if the batteries go low or dead, you won't be able to charge them while using them, they shut off as soon as power is introduced to them. The mix between music from my phone, functionality of the app, and sound through the game is all done quite well and seemlessly, however, this does tend to have dropouts of connection every so often, usually for only tenths of seconds, and if there is a lot going on in game, it seems to get lost in how to relay all of this information to the user and just kind of turns into a garbled mess. I did actually get a phone call while using them as well and trying to figure out which button to press, and for how long, tends to be cumbersome. I ended up having to take them off and turn off Bluetooth on my phone to actually get the call. Perhaps some further use of this will prove easier, but the jury is still out on that. The functionality of the app is great, and these are pretty good at blocking out sound, so much so that I didn't realize that my entire sound system had still recognized it and was blaring at 1 am and I ended up waking up my wife. The setting it to ONLY the headphones as its output does not seem to be 100 percent correct, but that may also be due to my set up at home. All in all they are a solid headset though and I would recommend them.

I also played about with the settings on the turtle beach app but found the original set up to be the best so you dont even need the app if you arent really specific about the set up. The headset is also nicely in keeping colourshcheme with my xbox one x.Improvement Points: Sometimes if I walk away from the xbox with my headset on taking a phone call my headset struggles to reconnect to the xbox once the connection is broken but just turn it off and on again and that sorts it. Unfortunately every now and again the sound levels warp so all of a sudden the sound will go really high pitch or really low. Not a clue why but it does sort itself out pretty quickly, nothing too serious. The PU leather is pretty comfortable but can make you warm and sweat as it's not very breathable, although when I remove the headset it has never had sweat on it for some reason. and lastly I've got gurt big ears so if I don't have the headset on properly it can be a little uncomfortable but you just have to fiddle round a bit until comfortable. Had longest sessions of around 4 hrs and been comfortable enough for the duration when put on properly.
