I will always buy turtle beach but your making it really hard when I can bearly hear footsteps. However this pair was way more comfortable and did work on pc. Immediately got home and plugged it in. Staticky glitchy piece of crap. I have the recon 200 and thought the recon 500 was an upgrade. Heck no. It’s not better than my cheap cheap turtle beach plug in headset that doesn’t charge. No audio sensitivity volume like on the recon 200. Can’t hear myself like on the recon 200. Sound not good. Not impressed. Would have been absolutely livid if I paid full price and not half off. Want to return it but don’t even want to deal with the hassle. Just a piece of crap extra if my recon 200 dies.

For the price, it's good. Somewhat not designed for larger heads. It fits my head but not with most hats on. And I prefer wearing a hat so that's a minus. Sound quality is good, footsteps are clear. Construction is not 10/10, maybe 8 or 9. It is solid but when you press the mute button you feel that it's not as high quality as they can make it. The volume wheel is okay, no complaints but could feel better. Also it's not an eternal wheel (it has a top and bottom point where it stops spinning). There's no way to adjust the sound settings in a PC program like many Logitech and steel series headphones offer. For $80 it does its job well and there's not many headphones that compete at that price. White camo colorway looks clean. Comfortable and very light.

I got these for my son's 10th birthday. He loves having his own headset! He can play games on our Xbox series x without disturbing anyone else. Our desktop is in the same room as our tv. So, our daughter can now watch something on the computer while he plays Xbox. I like that these are wired and don't have a battery; one less thing to charge! They plug right into the Xbox controller and you can adjust the volume on the side of the headphones. Super easy to use. Great headset.
I spent a lot of time researching a good set and this is the winner. They truly sound amazing! I picked them due to the dual drivers for treble/bass and also having a larger driver. The cord is long enough so I don't even notice that I'm connected. The cups and band have a great feeling. If I had any complaints, being minor to me, it's that the cups do get warm/hot but you only notice that once they come off. I also don't like that there isn't any physical adjustment for the mic but it doesn't get in my way. If you pair this with the audio controller + then you will have all the features needed, except for wireless.
The Turtle Beach Recon 500 Arctic Camo is beautiful! My work from home job requires me to use a headset due to teams meetings and this has been a great quality headset to use and as a female I love the look of it instead of a plain black. Quality sounds is amazing! You cannot hear outside the headset and microphone works great too. Its very comfortable around my ears and top. Not too tight and can be adjusted. The cord is not plastic and love the feel of it. I am able to mute and adjust volume easily while on meetings. Since it uses a headphone jack instead of your typical usb, I will aslo be able to take it with me to use with my phone. I have not been able to test with gaming but assuming the quality will not change!
The Turtle Beach - Turtle Beach Recon 500 Arctic Camo is a nice headset. The sound quality is nice and they are comfortable for long wear, and I love the look of them! I typically use this headset when my wireless one dies, as this one is not wireless. You can use it with gaming consoles or a PC which is nice. Your volume and mic mute can be used from the ear piece of the headset. Overall, this is a nice mow to mid-grade headset.
This is my third time Trying turtle beach headset and I tried different ones with in two weeks I had to replace! Now I just got this one yesterday for Xbox s series it worked fine but the next day the mic stopped working!! Not a great buy and was on sale to cheap.. I should’ve read the reviews before buying! Now I have to do another return and this time I’m going with razor headset cause reviews are great!!
My daughter really likes her new Turtle Beach Recon 500 Arctic Camo headset and so do I! We own a Xbox1 and we've been needing another headset and this one is perfect. I personally like that the headset plugs into the controller and we really like the snow Camo design. The only bad thing I would say about it is that the microphone jack doesn't really want to stay in the headset, it liked to fall off, but I don't really talk to anyone online anyways so it's fine. Overall it's really good quality, the sound is great and it's not annoying to wear my glasses with it on, which is a huge thing for me. I'd give this product a rating of a 8/10
These were on sale, seemed higher quality than the similar priced headsets. I read reviews that stated mic issues and mic stopped after a short time. Figured it was worth the risk as I liked the quality of the headstrap and ear pieces over the more plasticy ones. As soon as I saw the removable mic I knew this was going to be a problem. A 7 year old moving bending the mic, setting it down on the mic, all things I could see bending that audio jack. Literally 5 minutes after her opening it, she takes the mic out and puts it back in, wrong angle, bends the middle of the jack. I tell her im returning it for a different one, but she liked it and wanted the same one. I return it and get the same one, the mic stopped working after 2 weeks.
