Do you like Earl Grey or fruity teas If so, you may or you may not like this. Not very helpful, I know, but thats about as much assistance as I can give you, Im afraid. I can take or leave Earl Grey as I find the taste of bergamot in my tea to be just a little too strange not quite fruit but not quite something else. I also dont like fruity teas very much, which I feel more often than not taste like warmedup juice drinks. On the other hand, I LOVE the taste of Lady Grey tea, which for me strikes the perfect balance between proper tea and the fruity variety. The bergamot you get in Earl Grey is still there, but its been subdued by a gorgeous blend of orange and lemon, while at the same time leaving the underlying black tea flavour very much intact. But the citrus flavours dont overpower the drink, they just add a very slight sharpness and a refreshing hit to something that might otherwise be a little bland. Think of an ordinary black tea that has had some orange and lemon flavouring added to it and youre pretty much there.Almost as important, the predrink aroma is also something you have to experience for yourself and gives you an idea of the taste that awaits you. Here, the teas citrus notes are very much evident and fill your nostrils and your kitchen with a fantastic summery, citrus grove smell that I dare anyone not to be lured in by. If ever an aroma told you exactly what to expect from a drink, it was this one.Lady Grey tea is exactly the kind of drink I think of when I think of my perfect fruitbased tea. Rather than overriding the black tea taste, the orange and lemon enhance it and give something that goes very well on warm summer afternoons. I dont particularly like iced tea, but Id imagine that Lady Grey would also be perfect in that role.

Apparently, buying 6-packs of the 3.53 oz is the cheapest per ounce. Going with the 7 oz tins results in a higher price per ounce, probably because of the sales volume of the smaller size. Some people complained when Twinings reformulated their Earl Grey back around 2011. I spent my teen years in the UK and fondly recall this as my favorite tea. I like the new blend even better, having a stronger bergamot flavor. I find this makes for a more refreshing and invigorating cup of tea due to the stimulating effects of the terpenes found in bergamot. With a Royal Appointment going back a couple centuries, you can never go wrong with Twinings. The Queen herself starts every day with a cup of this blend and, don't forget, Earl Grey was the beverage of choice for Captain ... MoreApparently, buying 6-packs of the 3.53 oz is the cheapest per ounce. The company is finally working on their ethics as well and, while they are a bit late to the game, I believe, in time, the ethical questions about their trade and labor practices will go away. As a consumer, I am willing to accept the increase in price that comes with ethical production standards.

Cup at home, made from a teabag. Pours hazy dark brown (against white china) with sediment. Intense aroma of malt, bergamot oil, citrus and, well, horse manure, if you ask me, with some leafy notes of black tea. Bitter flavour of black tea, with some malty notes, and citric touches and hints of bergamot oil. Astringent palate with leafy and bergamot notes and very mild citric hint. Well, I like a good Early Grey but this one is, well, rather disappointing, especially in its aroma. I followed the instructions on the packaging, but it seems to me that I had overbrewed it in the end. The flavour, and certainly the scent, is not light, as the packaging says. Well, that was it. Fortunately, it wasn't expensive

As others have said, the new recipe is utterly awful, tasting more like builders’ tea. Been drinking this exclusively for 30+ years but will now have to find an alternative brand. So sad when a product is updated beyond recognition. The original decaffeinated tea was delicious. Those who wanted a stronger tea could easily buy from the vast range on offer. Please reinstate the original blend. The new version doesn’t even rate one star!
I am very disappointed with the flavor of this Earl Grey tea, I ordered 4 boxes from Canada thinking I was ordering the genuine Earl Grey from the source but instead, I received 4 boxes of horrible-tasting fake tea packaged in Poland. this tea tastes nothing like the old tea, it tastes/smells like motor oil mixed with rubber.I used to mix the old Erl Grey with a regular Ceylon tea and it was wonderful, now even if I mix the whole box of it the tea still tastes terrible.Never again.
I'm not a fan of lavender as a fragrance bc it's always overkill. However, lavender in TEA is a deal breaker - I LOVE it! This tea has a light handed, fresh lavender scent and it's sooo good in a tea.QUALITY - I'm not a huge fan of Twining's teas overall bc they always seem to be a bit lacking in strength (I'm a Texan and we like strong tea). But THIS tea is one of th better Twining's products and I'll be buying it again!SERVING - With 20 tea bags the size is more generous than most as most teas offer around 18Taste - As stated above - wonderful!Blend - Great blend of EG and lavender. It's soft yet bold so that's a pretty cool combo!ENJOY!
This is my favourite type of tea which many companies get wrong. I never add milk and firmly believe milk spoils the delicate taste. Too many companies make this too strong. It needs to be an amber colour. Twinings nearly get it right. It is a little strong and needs a flavour boost, needs a little more bergamot. But otherwise a pleasant drink. What is important is that Twinings pack these bags in an air-proof bag. Other companies do not and, consequently, their tea tastes a little stale and weak.I bought this item because it was on offer. I would not pay the full price. Often, if you wait, you can find it on offer somewhere.I think the Twinings pyramid tea bags are better but they are difficult to find.
The quality is excellent. The ingredients are amazing. The taste is wonderful. I drink it weekly. The size is good. The package arrived safely and quickly. The benefit is a good mood. The tea is fantastic. It was blended carefully. The caffeine is regular. Twenty serving per one. Frequency depends on how many kind you have
Twinings' Decaffeinated Earl Grey Black Tea is a reliable choice for those seeking a decaffeinated option. The flavor profile is classic and the decaffeination process doesn't sacrifice the essence of Earl Grey. However, if you're like me and prefer a stronger brew, you might find this tea a tad on the milder side. A little extra robustness in the flavor would elevate the experience. That said, the convenience of a decaffeinated version without compromising on taste is a big win. The aroma and overall quality are still commendable, making this tea a good addition to any Earl Grey enthusiast's collection.
