These teabags make a very decent cuppa. Not too strong, just a well rounded English breakfast tea. Remember to add water first, leave to brew then add milk once desired strength has been reached. These teabags don't work all that well if you add the milk first (and it's a crime against tea to make it that way anyway!)

If you love your tea strong you'll love these. I was tired of having to use 2 teabags, even good quality pyramid bags. So I spent more and got these. It saves me in the long run. It's not bitter, you can really tell it's good tea. Even the colour is good. My new favourite and now I've got used to them. I won't buy different ones. So nice.

This is a blend that is not diluted by multiple teas, making it a great, all around, standard English Breakfast tea. Assam provides robustness, while the Ceylon and Kenyan teas provide brightness and balance. The brightness provides a "spiciness" not found in other standard breakfast blends, which makes it ideal for an early morning cup, although it is more than suitable as an all-day, any time tea.

Just ok. Not 3 times better than cheaper brands
17 November 2019

Ive been a Tetley drinker for years but Ive noticed tea can be much better when Im out and having a cup somewhere nice. So I bought it was time to move up a notch and try twinings. I like my tea fairly strong so this seemed ideal. Unfortunately, I feel this tea is very similar to my old brand. Maybe a tiny bit better and slightly more consistent, but certainly not noticeably better considering each bag is 3 times the price of Tetley tea. It also brews strangely. You have to squeeze the bag and give it a good stir to get everything out of the bag and distribute the flavour. Id do that anyway before throwing the bag away, but it does make it hard to judge progress of the brewing until you stir at the end. I wont be buying this tea again. But I will continue to but for some nicer tea like the good stuff Ive had in posh tea rooms or after dinner out. Im happy to pay the price for a better brew, but Twinings missed the mark for me.

No stronger than usual
4 February 2023

I enjoy a nice strong cuppa so thought I'd give these a go. Nice tea but it doesn't appear to be any stronger than my usual brand so a bit disappointed there. On the plus side there is no tannin effect that can be present in a strong cuppa. I wouldn't bother buying again as they're quite dear comparatively speaking.

Ordinarily the words "breakfast" and "tea" are sufficient to make any lover of hot drinks to invent a hasty excuse. But this is easily the best strong tea on sale and the other reviews here are not lying. It has a full rounded flavour, minimal bitterness and a beautiful coppery colour. When the cup of tea you will have the following morning is the last thing you think of when clambering into bed at night, you know you need to stock up.

Strong Tea But Less Taste
22 January 2022

The tea is definitely strong but I can barely taste any breakfast tea flavour which usually has such a nice distinct taste. So it felt like a waste of money even on offer it's so expensive for what it is. I will stick to the original Twinings EB, Lady Grey & Everyday Decaffeinated that I drink daily. I had to give the other pack inside it to someone else. And I've still got majority of the teabags from my pack left in the cupboard. Hmm.

Tasteless even with two tea bags
17 February 2018

Bought two boxes of 250g 100 Tea Bags a few months ago, because there was a promotion. Foil sealed, so didn't use until the PG Tips had run out. Twinings must have been taken over by "Sir" Phillip Green, and is selling wood chippings as tea. Even using two bags for one cup, there is barely the taste you expect from even the most basic of English Breakfast Tea.I see from recent reviews, they are getting 5 stars again, so maybe it was a temporary lapse in quality control. The date stamp saysBEST BEFORE END:JUL2019 0000425083UK 207 10:39 1I will hold them for a while, hoping somebody will want them as a sample for testing. This is also an interesting way of finding out of whether the Waitrose card actually records what the customer buys. Terrible taste
29 November 2021

These have been my standard tea for over a decade. Not any more. I opened a new (sealed) bag and the tea is foul. Genuinely undrinkable. It's not just weak: it smells musty and off;, and tastes very unpleasant. So much so that I would guess something has gone wrong with production / with this batch -- but I'm not prepare to try again, it's that bad.

Terrific tea
5 May 2023

Lovely cup of tea. Tried different decafs but the majority fall short of being a decent brew. These have a nice flavour, not too strong but definitely not weak. Again a bit pricey but you can't beat a decent cup of tea so well worth it.
