TWSBI has changed the game! TWSBI Eco-T combines simplicity and elegance in this very contemporary fountain pen. By using a piston ink-filling system, TWSBI has been able to create a fountain pen with very high ink capacity. What this means is that you no longer need ink cartridges or a converter...just fill this high capacity fountain pen and away you go. - The Eco-T differs from the standard Eco by having a more pronounced grip section; designed with the aim of helping the user to develop the correct writing grip or posture. This means it will be particularly good for children or those new to a fountain pen. The other differnece is a more rounded triangular shape to the cap and end twist mechanism. - Why use this pen? The nibs are fantastic, the styling amazing, you will be asked about it everywhere you go, and with it's big ink capaciy it is perfect for urban sketching. - All parts are detachable for cleaning. Packaged in a gift box with spanner and grease for mechanism. - Specifications:Mechanism - Piston - Colour - Clear with mint blue lid and piston twist grip - Nib sizes availble - EF, F, M, B, 1.1 italic (stub/calligraphy)

I've purchased two versions of this pen, the Fine nib white version in Dec 2020, and the Medium nib Smoke Rose Gold version in October 2021. These two served as my daily drivers for the past year and a half. I was and am very happy with them. They write beautifully, you can hold SO MUCH INK in them, they feel good in the hand. I adore these pens. However, about a month ago the plastic around the nib and feed of my Smoke version got a hairline crack and began to slowly wick ink to the surface of the grip and on to my thumb. I've had to retire it as a result. The White one currently has a few hairline sub-surface cracks, however it's not wicking ink yet so it's still in my rotation. Why did this happen? Honestly I think I'm just too hard on my daily drivers. Honestly I think I'm just too hard on my daily drivers. I've dropped them multiple times, I keep them in a simple small pen case with a few other writing instruments, that case gets thrown in my bag with books, my bag has fallen more than a few times on to the floor, and has been left in the car in 110+ degree weather. I'm rough on my stuff. So even though the plastic failed I do not feel its a manufacturing error. In Summary: if you are good to your pens, keep them in a nicer case, and don't drop them onto hard floors and the like, these are brilliant pens with massive ink capacity and lovely nibs. However if you are a little bit of a human tornado like I am, maybe look into a pen with tougher materials for your daily drivers.

I bought two TWSBI Eco broad pens last year to draw with and I gave one to my hubby who loves writing. The hefty pens with its acrylic body were a God send to me. I have metal sensitivity and can’t handle metal objects long. I treated myself this Christmas to this new one the TWSBI Eco 1.1 stub in Smoke Rose Gold.I fell in love with this pen at first write. The pen is smooth and with the right ink/paper there’s no holding you back. I live with MS and it has taken years to learn to draw and write again. I got back into fountain pens last year because I wanted to improve my handwriting so I can start writing haikus. Being an artist, I wanted to have the whole experience from the pen, ink and to the paper. I love this stuff. It took me a few tries to find the write pen from Lamy to Kaweco. They are nice enough pens, but they weren’t a fit for me. I gave them to my husband who is enjoying them along with the TWSBI Eco, my favorite.I’m so happy to have found the TWSBI Eco. I have purchased two more for writing as well as two TWSBI Go for artwork. The heftiness of these pens is a huge help since I also have severe neuropathy in both hands. The extra width gives me more control without my hand cramping up. I would highly recommend this pen to people who need more in a pen to help them write or draw. The pen’s piston makes it easier to fill with ink then a regular converter too. It really makes a difference.I attached for a comparison a writing sample of the Eco Smoke Rose Gold 1.1 stub nib with Noodler’s, Black Swan in Australian Roses ink and the Eco Glow Purple Broad nib with the Ferris Wheel Press, Lady Rose ink. I see a theme going with all these Roses. It wasn’t intentional, I promise. A rose is symbolic for great beauty and value. How cool is that? Thanks to all at Goulet Pen Company for your care and dedication. Keep making a difference in the world guys, God bless!

this time, i ordered the fine tip instead of the medium and was impressed by the smoothness, compared to a couple of other fine tip fountain pens i have used. i really appreciate the large ink capacity of this line of pens; far fewer trips to the ink bottle do make a pleasant change for a working pen. i like the solid build quality and color choices as well. I'm not a collector, just an admirer of the fountain pen writing experience, and for that, this pen is very hard to beat!

I bought this pen with a stub nib specifically for use with shimmer inks, which I don't want to put in my more expensive pens. When it arrived, I immediately filled it with Edelstein "Golden Beryl" ink and started writing. It started right up and was surprisingly smooth. There's been no skipping, no hard starts. And I'm getting a kick out of the having that ink in a demonstrator; I sit and spin it around and watch the gold shimmer swirl and think, "neat!" I wasn't expecting a great feel from a plastic pen, but it actually feels pretty sturdy in my hand, not at all cheap. Okay, compared to my more expensive pens it's a lightweight and "cheap" is relative, but for fifty bucks, I can't fault it at all. It's attractive, and I like the piston filler. If I'm going to get a demonstrator, I want to see my ink sloshing around, not sitting in a narrow tube cartridge or convertor.I bought the pen with several other items - notebook, empty cartridges, cleaning supplies, convertor - my first purchase from Goulet. Everything was well packed, and I got a free lollipop. I'm a sucker for free suckers. If I'm just buying ink, I'll keep using my current vendor, who has free shipping at a lower price threshold, but if (umm, when) I'm buying another pen, or if (yeah, that's definitely an if) I need a collection of supplies that will get me free shipping, I'll come back to Goulet. I may have to get more of these TWSBIs for my kids. They make fun of my "weird" pens; I'll show them that weird can also be neat and fun.
Wow! What a beauty! I usually get a fine or extra-fine nib but decided to broaden my experience a tiny bit. This medium nib is smooth, smooth, smooth! And despite using old ink in it (ink matched the purple, don’t judge!), this pen gushes onto paper. I am getting some shading variation as well. The pen feels balanced posted or unposted and I like the threaded top that prevents unintended uncapping (and the leakage and staining that can result). This pen is the largest in my collection but is light enough and designed such that it is very comfortable. No fatigue during extended writing sessions. Love this pen. I also have the green one with a fine nib. That nib isn’t as wet but flows every bit as smoothly. One caution, while the fine nib has worked well on all paper ... MoreWow! What a beauty! One caution, while the fine nib has worked well on all paper I have used with it, not so the medium nib. The gush produces heavy ghosting and even bleed through. No worries, though, just another reason to use quality paper. Any pen lover would be happy to use or to gift this pen. Ideal for beginners or experienced pen writers.
I purchased the TWSBI ECO Smoke RoseGold with a Medium (M) nib because I was inspired by the free sticker I got in my last purchased from GouletPens. My first fountain pen I ever purchased was a TWSBI ECO Black with a Fine (F) nib when I was a freshman in college. I purchased it here from GouletPens for about 4 dollars less than what it goes for now. As a college student I thought that was expensive for a pen, lol. That pen lasted me all throughout college and I still use it to this day.The RoseGold variant of the ECO pens is no different, in my opinion, from the non rose gold pens besides the fact that it has the rose gold color, different cap logo material, and a higher price tag. The black cap and end are slightly transparent, which is a nice touch, probably what it means by "smoke". I also noticed that the clear barrel of the RoseGold pen has a much more noticeable line (a seam) that runs down the body. My old pen appears seamless, but it could be that it sort of blended in over time and use. It doesn't bother me just an observation. Regardless, the medium nib is very nice, writes well and has a very slight scratchy feeling that all my TWSBI pens seem to have.Overall I'm very satisfied with this pen. It's what I expect for a TWSBI and a nice addition to my collection.
I purchased this to try out a TWSBI pen as well as a stub nib. I've always been a XF or F nib person. This is a fantastic pen. It's affordable and writes really nicely. Not sure about the Stub Nib. It's super smooth and a great nib but it really makes you aware of where your handwriting falls short. I'll keep at it though
I have a Pilot Custom 823 that is currently 'in hospital' and I needed a worthy replacement. I found it! Sure, the nib isn't quite as smooth as the fancy pen, but it has a lovely feel, isn't too wet, and is comfortable to hold and use. No clumping, leaking or clogging. This pen does away with the main irritant of using a fountain pen, for me: having to refill it. (I write a LOT). I've had this pen for over a week yet, use it exclusively, and haven't had to refill it yet.So glad to have found this make and model.
I love this Rose Gold ECO fountain pen. I'm not sure but I think it writes even more smoothly, for an extra fine, than the normal EF ECOs that I have. I actually have the white/clear Rose Gold as well and it as well seems to write more smoothly. I always wondered if the coating on the underlying stainless steel nib has an effect. Plus the rose gold has a nice subtle gorgeous effect.Anyhow you HAVE to love the entire TWSBi ECO line of pens! GREAT quality for the price and the EF produces a very fine line upside down while still providing a smooth and ample flow of ink. Very rarely drops out for me, and when it does it indicates I need to clean it. Carbon Black ink which is pigmented ink. Full disclosure I only draw with my fountain pens. No calligraphy.
Though my pens had been languishing in a drawer for quite some time, the Goulet emails got me wanting to use them again. I inked and started journaling with them, but found myself wishing for a smoother writing experience. All but one of my pens have an XF nib because I like to be able to use them on all kinds of paper. While the pens were perfectly satisfactory before, now they felt scratchy.I chose the TWSBI because of its good reviews and the fact that I had been wanting one before my other pens fell out of daily use.The F nib TWSBI ECO is a wonderful pen! Once picked up I don't like to put it down, so it tends to make my journal entries long and rambling. The nib is very smooth, and while it deposits too much ink for some of my cheaper notebooks, it is perfect when I use fountain-pen friendly paper or if I limit my writing to one side of the page.Violet De Atramentis Document Ink is a beautiful match to the pen. It was easy to fill and the ink has lasted more than a week. I have needed to refill the other pens during this same period of time.
