OK, the look and feel of this soft leather chair is what sealed the deal of the original purchase. I'm not a heavy man, I'm only 65kg, so I have had no problem with the gas lift
adjusting like others have claimed. However, the cushioning and padding under my bottom virtually compressed and deflated within a few weeks. I am using gel cushions
under my backside on this chair now for over a year. After about 18 months the glue holding the leatherette colouring on the chair is flaking off - mainly the arm rests and
front of the chair (behind your knees). If you have a look on the floor around the chair there are black and blue flakes all over the place. The castor wheels are n... Show more

We now have three of these chairs in two colors and they wear well if taken care of. The arms raise up and down for versatility when getting closer to the computer desk and
the tilt adjustment can be set to easy or harder so you dont feel like you are flying backwards when you lean back. The kids like them and I like them as they are a good seat
size. Easy to follow instructions to put them together but putting the back on can be a bit fiddly and recommend a second person to help hold it into place. Nice solid base. A
good chair for the price range if you are wanting something more than a light weight armless computer chair. Comfortable enough if you have to sit for long ho... Show more

I bought two chairs, one for my study and one for my studio, soon the gas strut gave out, so I bought a new strut. Getting the old strut out proved to be impossible, so I phoned
the Midland branch to ask if they sell the tools to pull the strut out of the chair base, seems they never heard of it. After the usual transferring to a "manager" I was pretty
rudely told to just try harder, put some muscle into it. I am very sure that many people have needed to replace struts, why would Officeworks pretend it is not a problem to
replace them? I believe the strut socket on the seat is too weak to maintain its shape.

The castor wheels are not very high off the floor so they pick up everything from hair to carpet thread to whatever and get caught up inside the wheels til they seize up and stop spinning. They are very difficult to clean the castor wheels as the shielding over them doesnt come apart. Overall the look of the chair was great, but if you will not get 24 months out of it before it looks like its had 10 years worth of use. This is why there is only a 12 month warranty I guess. Not a chair I would purchase for employees who will sit in them daily otherwise these things will rapidly decline.... Show more

Good value chair with some good features
7 October 2021
I bought this chair in 2019 from Officeworks Loganholme and after 2 years of hard use some deterioration of the vinyl on the seat was showing. As the chair comes with a 3 year warranty, I took some photos and returned to Officeworks. They immediately said to return the chair for exchange or refund, which I did and decided to buy the same chair again as I believe it is still the best value chair Officeworks sells. Great service from Loganholme branch.... Show more

Great Chair (disregard the other comments)
13 July 2021
I recieved this as a present 2 years ago. I have no problem. Material is perfect no paint coming off and no scratches all over. Just maybe the fact that it slightly creeks but thats cause I use and rock on it a lot. The adjustable the arm rests is amazing. It's self assemble which is a slight bummer but other than that the chair is great. In my opinion disregard the other comments as they haven't taken good car of their chair.... Show more

Great for people who don't sit normally
27 January 2022
I'm not sure what kind of abrasive butts everyone else who says their chair's material started flaking off within a year or two has, but my chair has only just started losing its material/cracking at high stress points and I've used it near-daily for 6 years.Anyway, my favourite thing about this chair is that the armrests can flip up out of the way, which is great for when I want to sit cross-legged in my chair for long gaming sessions at my desk. It's also good for bringing my chair closer to my desk since the arms can make that a very tight fit for my desk when they're down. Might not be the best choice of chair for really tall people since the top of the headrest only reaches 2/3 of the way up my skull and I'm just over 5ft.... Show more

Mechanically it is a good chair BUT
17 July 2021
We bought 2 chairs late 2017. They functioned perfectly. However, the vinyl covering is now peeling off everywhere. We clean them weekly as we do for all our domestic furniture. The PU leather, (cheap vinyl) is obviously substandard and not fit for the purpose. Sorry, but we do expect better quality from Office Works.... Show more

pretty good all things considered
25 February 2022
I received this chair as a gift about 2.5 yrs ago now and it's really good unfortunately the right armrest got cut in the process of moving homes and it just deteriorated from there. from the other reviews, you can tell the biggest problem is the cover peeling away but as long as you keep it safe don't get it wet, and don't cut it then you will have no issues maintaining its cover. other than that main issue it's really comfortable it was really good during the online period, having to sit on it for up to 7 hours a day was not a problem.... Terrible - NOT worth the momey
4 August 2022
I had one of these chairs, purchased from office works - at first it was comfortable but after a very short while, the fabric cover starts flaking and tearing off, making a mess. I bought a second one, thinking the first may have just been a fluke - the second one - after two weeks same result of the fabric flaking and tearing - no mis use - all I did was sit on it to work. Also the pneumatic mechanism no longer functions - you can raise the chair to maximum height but it sinks back down - I STRONGLY suggest staying away from this chair.... Show more

Worst Material
16 June 2021
I bought this chair 8 months ago and its only use was as gaming chair. In the first 3 months the leather started flaking away, then in the 4th month the stitching came undone. In the 6th month the base was sliding up the gas cylinder, i used a hose clamp to stop from sliding up. Then earlier today one of the base legs snapped off.FYI: don't buy this chair, its overly priced for cheap material and poor chair design.... Show more
