Amazing performance with 2.4Gb/s throughput. Also does 6GHz (much less crowded) with a compatible device.

This is my new primary AP. I've run it for nearly 6 months without issue. It's the top tear WiFi 6 offering from Ubiquiti in 2023. It checks all the boxes with Upstream MIMO, WPA3, 2.5GbE wired uplink, and 6GHz channel support. The attached photo shows a device connected to WiFi6E achieving better than 1Gbps over wifi. Unifi automatically selects 160MHz channel width for the virtually untouched 6GHz band (as of summer 2023.) This let's devices cut loose even at 2x2 MIMO as shown.Other than performance that's frankly overkill for simple web browsing but most welcome during photo backup, it's very much a standard AP. It needs 802.11at POE and it's a little power hungry at 14W at rest. It will uplink at 1GbE if you don't have switch with multigig support. But then ... MoreThis is my new primary AP. But then the Unifi 6 Pro is probably a better option for that use case.Unifi is a prosumer class enterprise networking solution. If offers single pane of glass management of APs, switches, and gateways. You do need a cloud hosted controller or a local controller (Unifi Cloud Key). You also need some intermediate level knowledge of networking. But it offers a powerful set of tools such as VLANs, considerable configuration flexibility, and frequent patches and security updates. I've been using Unifi since 2018 and am very pleased with the performance and price point

Made by a reputable brand. Great visual design. Here is why it did not get 5 stars - some of the old devices (for example Apple TV or Nest cameras) running on 2.4ghz frequency will not connect to the new network. Why you ask? Because if you enable the latest wifi 6, the only security choice is WPA3.....So, we need to create another SSID for only 2.4/5ghz devices...only this allowed us to select different security choice and solve the problem of these devices not connections. So great hardware but not perfect!

Added the Enterprise U6 AP to get 6E compatibility for my new devices, IPad Pro 2022, Intel AX210 WiFi card, etc. Works as expected after downloading the latest firmware, super fast speed! There are some things you want to research before adding to your existing infrastructure which I want go into as it has to do with the 6E spec in a mixed environment not UniFi. The best UniFi AP i have tested to date...
Connected up to my existing system,, was adopted immediately and strarted working. Perfect.
This WiFi puck is a top-quality item that will meet all of your needs for home or small office! We had 3 of them in 3 different offices, and just bought this as a replacement for a lightning strike on one of our offices.
As with all Ubiquity products, this was easy to add to my existing Unify network. Performance at 6Ghz is pretty nice. Network speed doubled on my devices supporting the 6Ghz band. Good stuff to be had here.
Not worth for me alone in my flat (10 devices). Was attracted by 6E but don’t work. Links will follow to prove it.https://community.ui.com/questions/U6-Enterprise-missing-6GHz-channels-in-Switzerland/2018c4c7-5795-40ab-bf7b-1da4f1326b87?page=24h testing swapping access point location, cables, playing with Speedtest and multiple server.Maxing out at 300mbps/ s upload and download on MacBook Pro Max / iPhone 14 / Mac miniWas maxing out at 900mbps upload and download with router AX7501-B0 and Mac mini m2Deal breaker for me is price versus performances vs heat vs poweriPhone 14 Screenshot 50cm from ubiquity device: still slow!More screenshots to follows from a MacBook Pro
