Delivery on time and packaged well. As for the functionality, able to replace a 5 year old unifi UDR with tplink router for load balancing and failover function. Well suited router for setup of 2 isp providers less than 1gbps. Security features and firewall amenities same as UDR. This one has higher memory in it compared to UDR, runs around 50% idle as compared to udr which runs around 90%.... Show more

A fantastic little base for my home network
I have a Velop mesh system, which has worked great for me. The problem is that the fiber comes into a utility closet in the garage and placing an access point/router (like my Velop) down there causes terrible connections.I got this gateway and hooked it up in the closet then switched my Velops to just bridge the network and moved them to better locations around the house and my internet has never been more stable!I really like the UI dashboard too. I’m definitely wanting to switch to UI access points down the line to complete my system!... Show more

A really good device; the instructions need improvement
A solid device providing a good upgrade to my old gateway product. There are no instructions on bringing over a site that isn't default. I had to spend a few hours reading through forums to get a good solution. UI support, unfortunately, was not helpful with this particular issue.I would certainly buy this product again.... Show more

Great upgrade from a USG 3P.
I've had a USG 3P for years that started dropping connections so I ordered a Cloud Gateway Ultra. The Cloud Gateway Ultra has been great so far. The interface is way more responsive than my old Cloud Key. I have 3 APs and a switch with a few wired devices so I like having the extra wired ports as well. I thought about waiting for the Cloud Gateway Max, but the only real differences were the wired connection speeds and IPS throughput. My devices all top out at 1GBs so it wasn't worth the extra cost (or time) to wait for me. B&H is awesome. I've order several things from B&H over the years. Shipping is quick and their website is very useful.... Show more

UCG-Ultra Ubiquiti Cloud Gateway Ultra
This is a mich better experience compared to the previous device I was using (ERX-SFP which is now set up as a switch). Everything is in one place and I don't need to host my own network controller. The size is just right and having 4 LAN ports is really appreciated. My NBN connection isn't that great (100/20) but at least the throughput isn't affected even with full security packet inspection set up.... Show more

UCG-Ultra Ubiquiti Cloud Gateway Ultra
I am pretty impressed with the UCG Ultra to replace my USG Lite. I needed an extra couple of LAN ports beyond the USW-8-POE Lite I had fully loaded and the self hosting for a small home network was inconvenient. At the price it was hard to go past vs buying a gateway key and swapping out the USW for a larger port count. I I think the UCG Ultra with built in controller and 4 LAN ports is a good solution for setups such as mine. Recommended.... Show more

Replaced a USG-3P and Cloud Key Gen 1.After set up no issues. On NBN Wireless (75 Mbps down) so, as expected, full speed with full security. It’s an appliance and just works.I gave 4 stars rather than 5 stars because of set up issues.Initial connection via phone app and incorporation into an existing Unifi account is easy.If transferring a configuration from a cloud key (gen 1 and probably gen 2) a ‘simple’ backup and restore of the cloud key as a whole (as opposed to a single site backup) is all that is required. However, there is an issue if your source cloud key has multiple sites. If using the default interface you do not get a choice and it automatically restores the default undeletable site, which is probably not the site you want. You have to change to ... However, there is an issue if your source cloud key has multiple sites. If using the default interface you do not get a choice and it automatically restores the default undeletable site, which is probably not the site you want. You have to change to the legacy interface (settings, system, advanced) before restoring, which then gives you a choice. This information is not readily found on the unifi site - its buried pages deep in community blogs Also, searching on ‘legacy’ does not bring up that option. You have to know where to find it.Once switched to the legacy interface the restore is simple and existing Unifi devices automatically adopted etc.I suggest that, in addition to the note about the power supply, a note about the need to switch to the legacy interface for restore from a multiple site backup be included in the package.... Use for a small Business and Home is a Must!
I needed a Unifi console that only needs Routing and Gateway capabilities to replace my UDR. My connected devices grew in size and with monitoring enabled the UDR was not able to handle the load. After replacing this while uploading the same config file, everything has been working great. Powered by a small USB-C power brick. The form factor is smaller than a mac mini. Quick to setup. Highly recommend for small businesses and homes only needing the network application capability from Unifi. This does not replace a UDR for everyone because it does not have a built in radio antennae for AP capabilities or support the Unifi Protect App. For simply router and gateway capbi...
