I bought this cable last month to connect my Unifi Switch Enterprise 24 PoE to my UDM SE at home. Seeing the switch marked "10 GbE" in the list of Unifi devices is very satisfying, although rather irrationally so as I'm still on a single gigabit Internet connection and most of the multi-gigabit traffic happens within the switch.Surprisingly cool to the touch even at the ends when in use despite having heard claims to the contrary, but it could be because I'm not making full use of the cable.

I got these to free up a couple aggregation ports used on the switch for other purposes and they have worked fine. Our switch only has 1Gb SFP ports but these work fine at the reduced speed for which they were designed (10Gb). I have not tried them on a 10Gb SFP port but they seem solid and should work as advertised.

This item does exactly what it is supposed to do. It will connect either an SFP or an SFP port together just by plugging it in. Should you need to connect an SFP port to an SFP port you need to first manually configure the SFP port to negotiate at SFP prior to plugging it in. I honestly wish they sold ones a little shorter since it's literally jumping 1U in the rack but it does the job.

Good network cable. Used to connect Dream machine to unifi switch and working at 10gbe link. Getting a few more soon to finish upgrades to 10gbe network.
I run several 10GBe networks and use these DAC cables all over the place between UniFi switches. The work great, no problems! The cable is flexible enough for some cable management on a rack and it can reach 3-4U down in your rack so they don't have to be on top of each other. I've been super happy with these and i highly recommend.

Nicely made cable. Used this to connect my UDM-Pro to a 24 port switch. UDM has 10Gb SFP and switch has 1Gb SFP. Configured both to only work at 1Gb and this works. Makes it neat and tidy in the rack and means not having to purchase SFP modules.
I am actually using this at 1Gbps speeds to connect a USW-24-PoE (non-pro) to the USW-Aggregation, and that requires manually configuring the port on the USW-Aggregation to 1G before it can recognize the link.Not much to say about it, it just works. The pull tab to release the SFP is a bit unintuitive, and I had to pull so hard to get it out I was afraid it might break.
Using this with a usw 150w switch + dream machine pro router. The switch only support sfp so you have to set the port on the dream machine pro to sfp. I had to reboot router for the connection to work. And so far its been working fine with no problems
I actually ordered two black brand new DAC cables from Ubiquiti with my gear but ended up using these to match everything else which was white. I see no difference in performance, since the switches are only using 1Gbps uplink SFP ports.
