An amazing purchase, definitely a must have . I grew up playing the board game of Monopoly and playing it on the switch brought back so many amazing memories. I definitely recommend it . You will enjoy it and love it as well . You can play it with others and turn it into an amazing game night. So definitely pass go and collect that 200 ;) .

We've only played a game of classic Monopoly and a game of Monopoly Rush so far. None of us are excited to replay either game though. Classic monopoly seemed longer than the board game and the graphics just aren't detailed enough. We ended that game prematurely after about an hour but it felt like we played for several hours. Monopoly Rush was too chaotic for us to get a handle on everything going on. Maybe these games will appeal to us eventually but we have no desire to replay either game anytime soon.

Monopoly can end up being a lengthy game so I appreciate that there are challenges that show you an estimated amount of time in which they would last if you really don’t want to play the original method which you can do that too. It’s also a great game for the family. I have the Nintendo switch original and the lite. I prefer to play this game with family when I play with my regular Nintendo switch as you can play on the big screen and don’t have to hand off the entire system. Overall, this game is amazingly addictive! Especially if you're already a fan of the original board game! With all the different ways to play, this game will definitely keep you playing for awhile!However, I wish there were more themed boards to play on... when you play the live boards, you only get a choice of three. A haunted theme, a city theme, and an amusement park theme. You can also play the game on the classic board as well!Another issue I've come across is the game crashing... it often does this when the auto-save feature isn't working (which is currently the only way to even save the game). Whenever the next player's turn arrives, there should be an icon in the upper right hand corner that indicates the game is saving... but sometimes this icon fails ... MoreOverall, this game is amazingly addictive! At first, I was alarmed by the endless loading times, but after the day 1 software update was applied, and the console restarted, the loading times were normal. My issue is not with the graphics but rather the gameplay itself. Unfortunately, it does not appear that you can really use house rules to customize the game. You either get whatever is predetermined for house rules, or you play classic rules, etc. Having the ability to choose options for the house rules is critical. I also cannot figure out how to mortgage properties when "managing" my portfolio, which is extremely frustrating. The only downside is that you can only customize one house rule per game, unlike the old one for my iPod. I wish there were more customization options because I liked adding in all the money bonuses. Ridiculous! This was not advertised as a digital only version! Why would I wait for delivery and why did I buy a warranty for a stinking digital code? I just saw that another person had the same complaint! I hate digital codes as my twins are always out of space and it then doesn’t work when we are not at home using the internet etc.
Hubby and I spent hours playing this. Game is perfect for a game night. You have many options to play from, classic rules or house rules. You can play the live boards or the original classic board. You can play online or you can play with a cpu. Everytime you have an achievement you can unlock different pieces. If you only have 1 controller thats completely fine as all players can use 1 controller to play.
Terrible game. If you’re not playing any AIs I feel like it’s ok. But the graphics are outdated (I have it for the switch even) and if you are playing with the AIs, they are rigged to clearly cheat. The amount of “lucky” things that happen to them and suspiciously unlucky things that CONSISTENTLY (so far 20+ games) happen to the human players is insane. They make trades not worth the actual values just to help each other. They will basically give property to each other. They get doubles non stop, and never land on your property yet you are somehow always landing on theirs. I can go on and on. Overall, it was a waste of $20! It’ll just give you anxiety and anger.
