I wanted a driving game with rpg elements. Maybe like NFS meets Witcher. The crew delivers a driving game with basically standard "looter" elements: different categories of items (parts) with different levels and rarities, awarded at the end of a mission. It's probably the closest thing to what I wanted, but it's still disappointing for a number of reasons, which can basically sum up to:- very obviously modeled for "grind or mtx"- doesn't feel satisfyingThere's a ton of content, and the game has a production quality befitting a AAA title (except perhaps the Xbox controller support issues that apparently plague all ubisoft games, and a seemingly sparse and repetitive soundtrack)Having bought the season pass, I was granted vehicles in several categories that ... MoreI wanted a driving game with rpg elements. This is unfortunate, because I'm quite a few hours in, and it's still taking time to get to challenging content. The one change that could easily remedy that would be allowing players to select higher difficulties without having first tackled the lower ones. But that would violate the grindset 🙄Ultimately, it's a LOT of unnecessary talking (you can straight mute the narration in audio settings and nothing of value will be lost) ; and a lot of loud dopamine fanfare, all cushioning a gameplay loop that takes a long time to stimulate the player with any real challenge.

This game has a good quantity and variety of objectives to complete and vehicles to try. They also seem to keep pushing out content quite often and include a battlepass style system, which DOESNT NEED TO BE PURCHASED WITH REAL MONEY. Definitely appreciate that the higher-level currency can be acquired for free just by playing, which can be used on said battlepass. Would have loved to see locations other than the US portrayed, considering Ubisoft is Montreal based, but the map is pretty large as is, so not a huge detriment. The game also makes it easy to partner up with friends and play races/stories together, and gives advantages for new players to level up quick since the win conditions are applied to the whole crew. Fantastic game with many different genres of racing , with good graphics and gameplay . Ivory Tower is constantly adding new races, tracks cars via updates which make this game definitely worth its price. Gameplay is easy once u get use to the different types of races weather on road , off road , air or water. There is always a race that is fun and challenging. The games also feature race that must completed within a certain number of days in a month .It also has an online pvp mode where you can race against your friends or just search for an online race . My best feature of the game is the different types of racing genres that are included. It’s variety has so many benefits for the gameplay. I purchased this after hearing how good it was but am I so wrong because it doesn't tell you that you need to subscribe to both Xbox live that costs £18 month and also it requires constant internet connection and not WiFi must be hard connection because it crash every time you load it . Unisoft states reset concole then change this that other on network which is stupid.tjen you can't take game back because they state it's not faulty? Game box should state what is required instead of putting 1 person play.Stay away from buying it
I wasn't a fan of the first game, so was a little skeptical of the second one, although it's announement trailer got me interested. Then I played the closed beta and instantly wanted it.After having owned it now for 2 weeks, there's still plently left to do in the game. You've got events, races, challenges, photo missions, just roaming the map, and none of it in a specific order. Want to do one thing, do it. Change to another on the fly, yep can do. Everything is also layed out really well in the menus, so it's not confusing, and its easy to navigate. Also even though there's so much to do, it's actually not overwhelming. I wouldn't say it's a serious game, it's more casual and fun. Think of it more like the forza horizon series rather than the forza motorsport ... MoreI wasn't a fan of the first game, so was a little skeptical of the second one, although it's announement trailer got me interested. Think of it more like the forza horizon series rather than the forza motorsport series.I would rate this game a solid 9 out of 10, because it does have it's flaws, but then it's rare for a game not to.So, if you're looking for something fun, with plenty to do, but no real pressure, just to chill with, then I'd recommend it. If you're looking for something more serious, and challenging, then I wouldn't say this is the game for you.
While the map is huge, the graphics are above average and the game is mostly polished, Crew 2 is severely misguided as to what makes an open world racer feel good. Making a huge open world is fine and it is quite impressive but the world feels dead, sure the environments look decent enough but who cares when it lacks character and any trace of civilisation or incentive to explore this barren open world. World physics are horrendous, I don't know why but gravity in this game is totally messed up, it feels like you fall straight down like there is a magnet attracting it and that's weird and honestly horrible. There's zero suspension physics so jumps are kinda retarded in this game. Next the weather, there's next to none in this game. Again the world feels empty and lacks character because of this shallow weather implementation. Horrible. I don't really mind physics all that much but I guess when there's a standard set by Forza Horizon 2/3 you start to understand just how important car physics are. Cars in the Crew 2 are like GTA or Watch Dogs cars, there's very little that differentiates one from the other beyond speed. Cars don't feel different enough and the physics are kinda trash. Very shallow physics and just really bad for a racer. There's also not a lot of details on cars, again FH3 made every car look beautiful, filled to the brim with details. Car damage is again very shallow. Races are really dumb in this game, there's way too many jumps. I don't get why, it looks stupid and feels like you're playing Asphalt 8. Way too many jumps it just doesn't make you feel like you control the car. And honestly you don't need to because the wall will do it for you. Wall riding is faster than taking a racing line, yes we've got retarded game design. I know this is catered to kids and casuals but there's a limit. Other vehichles are worse to play with. Boats feel like you're playing the boat game on wii sports resort but it's still infinitely worse. Physics are again superficial and there is zero interactivity with the waves. Even a decade old game made waves an integral part of boat racing. Driving planes put me to sleep, I don't know why it's there, but it's there and it's boring. Everything about this game screams generic, superficial and it feels like everything in this game is an after thought except for the large open world but even there they stopped after rendering the environments. Graphics are above average but still pretty bad, cars lack detail, pop in is everywhere. Very superficial modelling. This game is bad, don't buy it, it has nothing to offer as a racer but if you want to see averagely rendered American landmarks buy it when it's 10 euros... Wait for Forza Horizon 4, I know it's a gruelling wait but it'll be worth it. It looks like FH4 is going to yet again set the standard for an open world racer. .
The gameplay closely resembles Left 4 Dead. 4 player co-op vs zombies in different scenarios with the meat of the gameplay coming in the form of stand-your-ground/crescendo events. The special infected blend in with the normal zombies so much that you barely notice them until they've killed you. If you're playing solo, the friendly ai is utterly braindead. They won't pick up weapons, special weapons, grenades, health packs, defense items, and they wont use mounted weapons. When they shoot, it's usually at your target. The ai partners also have no regard for explosive zombies and will usually wipe the team by shooting them at point blank. The actual gunplay is terrible. You're constantly fighting zombies that get behind you. The third person gameplay doesn't lend ... MoreThe gameplay closely resembles Left 4 Dead. 4 player co-op vs zombies in different scenarios with the meat of the gameplay coming in the form of stand-your-ground/crescendo events. This game was so disappointing! Absolutely terrible. I love Ubisoft and I usually love their games. I couldn't even get into this game. It's all just racing and hardly any story. Also, the free roam that we loved so much from the first one hardly exists. I played this game for a half hour and was so glad I ended up canceling my pre-order. I just want to drive, not race. If I wanted a racing game, I would play Gran Turismo or Forza. I loved the exploration and the cars of the first one, the second one is just a huge letdown. The menus are also a pain to navigate through. I left a race and was free driving when a signal popped up telling me a reward was near. I never found the reward or figured out what the purpose of it was. Was it a skin or a collectible? I'll never ... MoreThis game was so disappointing! Absolutely terrible. This is the type of game that puts development studios out of business. I could not find one ounce of fun in this game so I uninstalled it. I regret purchasing it. I really enjoyed the first Crew game so maybe my expectations were too high. This game fails on every level. In regards to game play, the physics are a disaster. I don't care about graphics if the game is fun. This game is far from fun and the graphics are not on par with modern games. Although the graphics are better than the first Crew game, at least that game was fun. Everything about The Crew 2 is lifeless. I can find something positive in almost all games I play but there is nothing positive I can say about The Crew 2. I don't recommend this game to anyone who enjoys racing games.
The Crew 2 is an amazing game. Wow the graphics on this game is looking smooth! I got this game because I want to explore the USA. I have a PS5 so it will run smooth. I would recommend this game if you are a beginner I will take some time to practice but once you get better into the game, then you will know. But I would recommend this game to a Player.
