I have had the greatest experiences putting together Ugears' products! In these days of Covid, working from home is quite stressful. Ugears' models work perfectly for the most part and their after sales support is quite good to help if your model doesn't run at first. I'm in the process of making ugears' antique jewelry boxes as Christmas presents! Somebody is getting a nice surprise present!
This is the first model from UGEARS I've completed and I loved it. It was challenging yet I didn't want to stop, and the feeling of satisfaction when finished is great. I ordered three kits (one for me and two for Christmas gifts) and although on the pricey side for my budget, they are well worth it. If you enjoy assembling models but would rather not deal with the glue, these are perfect - plus you have a working model that does more than just sit on a shelf - % stars!
Some pieces were super tight. Side opening linkage was a little loose. Recipient was very happy!
This was fun and challenging. My 7 year old daughter and husband worked on it, although my husband did most of the work.
This was a challenge but made so well with good instructions. So many little parts but they're precision cut so they are easy to extract. Lots of gears...lots!It works and is so pretty.
Overall it works. But the material is not in good condition. The surface has a lot cracks and not universal Colors. Small pieces is not very easy to remove from the model and easy to crack. Wax is not very easy to use.
Kits are getting better everyday. Pieces easier to get out of spurs, minimal breakage, fitting together better, etc. Still need to be fussy about lubricating as this item moves many parts at the same time and even one little hang-up can cause a binding effect. All in all a very good kit to build and a good jewelry/valuables box.
