My first UGears and it will not be my last. This build was a challenge for sure, sore fingers from pushing toothpick pieces through "Too Little" holes. Very little breakage and was able to make most of the mechanical options function. The only thing I would most comment on was your estimated 13 hours, time to build. I bet I had 50 hours in it, but like I said, other than a little cussing under my breath, well worth every hour.

Great design, but the toothpicks are impossible to get in even with my astral projection, energy blasts, or the time stone!!! Went back in time for the help of the Ancient 1 but she couldn't do it either. Starting to think either Dormamu or Mordo has something to do with it.Hopefully Sherlock Holmes can help me out with it. And yes, before you ask, I found Smaug dead at Lake-town. Something about The Battle of the Five Armies!?!?!Ugears, find a better way to put the toothpicks in, please!!! For the love of Nightmare!!!

This was my fourth model. It was a great challenge and a lot of fun. So many articulating surprises. My only complaint is that the parts were so hard to put together. The toothpicks had to be sanded to enable them to slide into the holes, which I did but it was very time consuming. Most of the connecting parts had to forced with pliers. The parts were so difficult to remove from the board that sometimes broke. Now that I have bitched I have an observation. My house is beach front in a very humid environment. Just received in the mail today the Cabriolet and U Gears Safe. When finished this will make 9 of your working models I have finished and display. I couldn't be happier with this UGears product. I am a carpenter by trade so I like working with my hands. These models are a challenge yet fun at the same time. Incredible detail has gone into each model. Also I recently broke a part while assembling the Windmill. Dmitriy went over and above making sure I got free replacement parts. Thanks ; A great product!
Have to agree with MaxLofland. The toothpicks that came with the kit were to small in diameter. Had to buy regular ones at the grocery store. They were too large and every one had to be sanded smaller. Same problem with the Grand Prix racer. This is my forth finished Ugear modeland I have thoroughly enjoyed each one. At age 81, these models have definitely kept my mind and hands busy together. WOW.
Unfortunately, I had to send this order back. My husband has been in the auto racing industry his whole life so when I saw this company had a kit for a Formula One/Indy Car that he could put together himself, I thought, how very cool. I based my decision on life-like the train looked in the advertisement. My fault. I should have taken the time to look at what THEY call a race car
I have assembled 6 wood puzzles, from a different company. They varied in difficulty but I completed them all. This one? I am giving up after about 10% completion. Directions are horrible, the whole thing is a joke. Anyone who can put this one together must be very good at guessing as well as an expert at pressing super hard without breaking parts. Nuff said, I won't be buying this brand again. Please note, nothing against the seller, they didn't design this thing!
This was an awesome model to build, it went together flawlessly. All parts function as designed right down to the windshield wipers. This model doe take a bit of patience but the results are worth waiting for. I would recommend this model and any other UGEARS models they are not only enjoyable to built but also make great display pieces and conversation starters.
I bought the race car model for my husband for his birthday. He enjoys model-building, likes race cars, and loves truly uniquely-crafted items. This one was all that! It is a challenging model--he's been working on it for a couple of weeks now, but he is really enjoying it. The laser-cut wood pieces are precise and fit well. It's very cool-looking, and really amazing to see it moving when all the gears engage.
The motorcycle was purchased as a gift for my son. We haven’t sat to put it together because of an ongoing debate. Technically he’s too young (7) to put it together so I said we’ll need to wait until we both have a day to work on it. His argument is he’s put together 2 of these, similar kits, by himself and he doesn’t need me. So, right now it sits and I bring up the subject frequently. Eventually we will have it together! I can’t wait!
