I couldn't get the ferules on the the two haves to stick reliably.One half is now at the bottom of the Murrumbidgee River.My daughter has an identical rod and it doesn't have this problem, so maybe I was just unlucky,

I bought this rod a week ago. Went fishing on Friday night and after 2 hours of use I could hear an issue with the reel, about 30 minutes later I hooked a fish and the reel jammed rendering it unusable.The only positive is that BCF swapped it out no questions asked.

Great rod, poor description.Gteat Ugly Stik quality but I would have purchased a different rod and reel combo if it was mentioned that the reel wasn't preloaded with line, also if in the description/overview it was mentioned that it was a 1 piece rod more than if you scroll down through the "show more" section.It felt pretty disappointing when I collected it and the person couldn't use it straight away.

Good to use initially but the reel started to front load the spool to the point that it was slipping off the front on retrieves with alure.
I have always wanted an Ugly Stick and I am not disappointed with my purchase. The combo is so light you can cast all day with it and combined with the Ugly Sticks reputation as a very strong rod and I couldn’t be happier.
Very easy to handle, basically every thing said in the promo video is what drew my attention. One of the best combos I’ve used by far, wasn’t expecting the wooden trim added to the heel, but extra length helps me out especially having long arms I can get good leverage when I pull and reel.
My first Ugly Stik for 30 years and they still have the same quality due to their unique construction. A really nice looking rod - in fact so good looking that I bought an extra Ugly Stik for my wife combined with a mid priced Shimano reel. Yet to test out the combo but my only concern at this stage is that the supplied reel may be underpowered. Should this be the case I'll replace with an ever reliable Shimano reel.
Good rod and reel, well balanced and easy to use. Has good strength aswell a quality rod and reel for the price. The price was so reasonable that bought 2 of each. The sales assistant at Braybook even wound the line on for me. He was very helpful.
Anaconda didn’t end up honouring the sale purchase and when I called back because they had cancelled part order from a store and mentioned it was available at another store that was closer . They asked me to buy the rod at full price as the sale had ended . Also asked if I can change the pick up store of the remaining rod they said I couldn’t do that. I ended up cancelling the whole order . Don’t want to deal with anaconda anymore . Don’t think you should sell anything online .
What I liked about the purchase was the fact that I purchased it one day and I had the product two days later I love the product reel is well balanced to the rod and I can't wait to use it over the next couple of days. I have looked over their site and it has quiet a few items that interest me so I will be back to purchase more. As for a recommendation totally the best way to purchase your fishing tackle.Jason Sanders
