Bought this supposedly top end unbreakable rod, and was looking forward to many years of happy use.Arrived on the fishing spot and proceeded to rig up the rod, barely put any tension on it and it snapped.I do not know if it is a factory defect but lost my trust in the ugly stik bluewater line.Going back to my trusty Daiwa VIP series that after 10+ years of heavy use still works A+.

Bought this rod 2 weeks ago and so far it has not let me down. I've used this rod about 3 times since I bought it and man is it good value. The quality in the rod is great being relatively light but still super strong .pretty good for bottom bouncing but really shines when casting or trolling. If your debating this rod get it it will not dissapoint

Snapped when pulling in first fish. Rod was recommended to be similar to a Shakespear that I have had for 4 years. Was extremely disappointed. Suggest it may have been damaged by BCF or someone in the store

As model name Bluewater suggests, it would make a good bluewater trolling rod, but for fishing for Snapper its overkill. Reel seat is quite beefy, feel its a lot bigger in your hand (The diameter of the reel seat).... for 90% of inshore or reef fishermen its probably a bit big in the hands. Would suit the 14K -20k reel sizes for hitting marlin etc. For those after a rod for Snapper fishing upto the 10000 size reels, stick to the proven Ugly Stik Gold II.
Excellent quality product, again this rod is a replacement for one I lost overboard.
Best all round boat rods, jigging, bottom bashing, handle a bit high sticking when to excited (too many beers)Look great, wouldn't buy anything else.
Ugly stick what can I say, haven’t used yet but it looks great and I got it for an upcoming trip. Tight lines
Helpful advice , good bottom bounce rod, great for trout.
Great rod for price, tough as and casts a dream from the beach, can’t wait for snapper season to open to try out on the boat
