I've used this for about 6 months. It works fine most of the time (HDMI, USB, and Ethernet), but occasionally when you connect the HDMI cable or the USB-C, it detects the monitor as "dp2hdmi 1760" and limits the resolution to 1920x1080. If you unplug and reconnect it a few times it will eventually connect properly and show the correct monitor type and supported resolutions. Too flaky for me.

Needed Ethernet, USB-A ports and HDMI for our Dell XPS 15 that has (only) two USB-C ports. This 5-in-1 has that plus pass-through PD and an aluminum unibody. Nice. Says it is USB A 3.0, but the ports are black like the USB A 2.0 instead of the blue I've seen on every other USB A 3.0 port. Giving it 4 stars for now because I'm suspicious. Otherwise would have given this 5-stars for the price.

I tested this on one of my recent trips and I liked it so much that it might become my Go-to hub to carry with me. While this hub is like the size of a couple packs of gun and barely thicker than a single ethernet port.... it actually has video out and ethernet! I used this with my Pixelbook, as this whole hub is barely much bigger than my old Ugreen USB-C Ethernet adapter! So for a few more oz and about 1.5 inches more length I have USB, Video out and get to keep Ethernet.I didn't have issues using this with ChromeOS or Windows and everything worked out of the box. There is 4K support but only at 30hz.... which doesn't matter too much to me as most of the time I use these with Hotel TV's that are 1080p.I didn't see any delay in video output and I didn't have an ... MoreI tested this on one of my recent trips and I liked it so much that it might become my Go-to hub to carry with me. Admittedly I don't use the USB for that much, basically just a little portable HDD that I keep some shows and music on and a wireless keyboard remote.Overall I am very happy with this little unit because of its size and features. the Ethernet speeds either, even while using the USB ports. Needed this On my daughters HP ENVY 13". It allow you to run out to an HDMI monitor and it also caries the sound so you can use the monitors/televisions speakers. You also get the extra USB ports, is great for the Envy that only has two of it's own. With the monitor, printer, cooling pad and Ethernet plugged in, this becomes a pseudo docking station.
Use this with all mt Chromebooks. Works well. Pass-through charging seems to have good wattage. Ethernet NIC was the biggest need for me. Havent really tried video out.
Our wifi can be a bit of a mess sometimes, due to multiple neighbors getting carried away with smart home stuff, causing interference, so we plug in when we want fast internet. Laptops and chromebooks don't come with ethernet jacks anymore, so these things save the day. This is the second one of this brand I've purchased, and I get higher than my ISP's promised speed through them.
I bought this as a more efficient way to to plug my work notebook into everything while at home. All the connections work as you would want them to. HDMI, USB 3 and USB C power inputs are all solid. Nice to only have the one usb-c to plug into the notebook. I have not used the lan connection port.
Worked out of the box on MacOs Big Sur, WIndows and Ubuntu. The device gets a little warm, but it seems to work fine without error. I don't use the power pass through port, but it seems to work when I tested it on a Macbook air.
It's a great product and works amazingly. But it's definitely not something cheap. You should REALLY consider the usage before purchasing.
I have been using the dongle for a few days now and I must say it works as expected. These dongles have a native issue of heating up but besides that its all good.
