Ultimate Werewolf - Deluxe Edition
Ultimate Werewolf is an interactive game of deduction for two teams: Villagers and Werewolves. The Villagers don't know who the Werewolves are, and the Werewolves are trying to remain undiscovered while they slowly eliminate the Villagers one at a time. A Moderator (who isn't on a team) runs the game. Ultimate Werewolf takes place over a series of game days and nights. Each day, the players discuss who among them is a Werewolf and vote out a player. Each night, the Werewolves choose a player to eliminate, while the Seer learns whether one player is a Werewolf or not. The game is over when either all the Villagers or all the Werewolves are eliminated. The Deluxe Edition has 80 cards, a moderator scorepad, a Getting Started guide and a 24 page rulebook.

I love Ultimate Werewolf. I had such a blast playing it, I decided to buy this deluxe edition for more roles and more fun, and the game delivers on that—on its merit alone, I’d give it 5 stars. However, when the game arrived, the inside of the box appeared to have mold inside. The cards are individually wrapped in plastic, so they’re fine. I don’t want to deal with the hassleOf trying to exchange it, so I’m just going to clean the box, but if you’re sensitive to things like this, beware.

Werewolf is a classic party game of bluffing and deduction. At the start of the game, players are assigned secret roles with the most common being werewolves and villagers (and one player being the judge/referee). Every round, all the players close their eyes and the werewolves then open their eyes and pick a victim. Then all players open their eyes and the victim is announced by the referee and leaves the game. Then everyone votes on who they believe to be a werewolf and discuss back and forth until there is a majority. Obviously, the werewolf players want to lead the villagers to choose an innocent villager. The player chosen is then removed as well. Play proceeds until there are either no more werewolves or there is only one villager left.Werewolf is best with ... MoreWerewolf is a classic party game of bluffing and deduction. The biggest downside is the downtime for any player eliminated. Once a player is out, there is nothing for them to do so its best to have some other quick games around once a few players are out of the game.Ultimate Werewolf adds quite a few new roles that can shake up the game and add more strategy. The card artwork is nice and the components are solid. While the game can certainly be played without cards (as it is a classic party game), there is a enough to like here to make it worth paying for a premium but be aware of the issues with player elimination.

Fun party game of buffing, deduction and lying to your friends! Can be played with a huge group of people, however that is also the biggest downside. After you get eliminated from the game you are out and just sitting and watching. This kind of sucks, as with huge groups you can wait a very long time to start a new game. When you are the first person out it really really sucks!
