A good go to that doesn’t taste like sunscreen

I received all 3 shades via Skeepers for my honest review. All three shades are subtle and look nice with my fair skin tone. The formula is thick enough to feel nourishing without feeling greasy or sticky. I had it on a few days when it was windy and my hair didn’t get stuck in it terribly like some glosses do lol. I was really nervous that it would have a weird scent or taste because of the SPF, but they definitely do not! The slight mint is nice and not overbearing either which was my other worry. I like the applicator because you can squeeze out just enough to cover your lips but not get it everywhere. I like when I can apply quick and easily. I’m actually pleasantly surprised. I was skeptical because my lips are really sensitive and curious about how it would taste and smell. 1. This smells good. It doesn’t smell artificial and it has subtle minty smell to it. 2. It taste like mint gum. Not too much not too little. I don’t taste the “sunscreen”. As for how it looks, i’m a brown skin black woman with two toned lip and ofc my favourite shade is the brown one. Ofc i think all the shade looks good on my lips, but it just obsessed with the brown. It’s really sheer and non sticky and has a super smooth application. I apply it as my skincare routine and also as a reapply lip balm when i’m out of my house. The applicator itself is also AMAZING. it’s like a rubber one which makes it so easy to apply. So no cons ... MoreI’m actually pleasantly surprised. Hydrating and Glossy with SPF Protection
18 October 2024

I’ve been using the SHEEN SPF 50 Hydrating Lip Balm for a few days now, and I have mixed feelings about it. Here’s what I found:Pros:• Hydrating Formula: The balm is indeed hydrating. It feels great on the lips, leaving them moisturized for hours without the need to constantly reapply. The non-sticky texture is a major win for me!• SPF Protection: I love that it offers SPF 50 protection, which is great for sunny days when I’m outdoors a lot. It gives me peace of mind knowing my lips are protected from UV damage.• Glossy Finish: It gives a beautiful sheer, ultra-glossy finish that’s subtle yet noticeable. While it fades quickly, it’s something to consider if you’re sensitive to scents.• Reapplication Needed After Eating: I found that after meals or drinking, the balm tends to wear off easily, which requires frequent reapplication.Overall, I think the SHEEN SPF 50 Hydrating Lip Balm is a solid choice if you’re looking for sun protection and hydration in one product. It’s especially great for no-makeup days or if you want a glossy finish. Just be prepared to reapply throughout the day, especially after eating or drinking.

Must have spf lip balm!!
6 July 2024

This lip balm is so smooth, it’s not sticky but it’s thick and hydrating! It is also long lasting and a little goes a long way since it is a thick consistency! I love how you can’t even tell that it has spf in it at all, the texture is still sheer even with the spf! All three colours are super glossy looking and have a sheer but noticeable colour! I also love that this brand is an Australian made brand, it makes me love it even more because they know what they’re doing with spf! I love any Australian sunscreen automatically!!! I will purchase again because of how much I liked this product! I’ve been looking for a good spf lip balm for so long and this one has become one of my everyday grabs, because it’s not only spf lip balm but it has a glossy colour finish to it ... MoreThis lip balm is so smooth, it’s not sticky but it’s thick and hydrating! Staple in my routine!
18 October 2024

The Ultra Violette Sheen Hydrating Lip Balm SPF50 has become a staple in my routine. It keeps my lips soft and hydrated while offering SPF 50 protection, which is perfect for everyday use. The texture is smooth and non-sticky, and I really like the sheer, glossy color it gives my lips. The shade Blow Out is a pretty peach-coral that adds just the right amount of tint. Plus, the peppermint scent is refreshing without being overpowering. It’s packed with lanolin and cocoa butter, so my lips feel nourished throughout the day. Being Australian-made and tested under tough sun conditions, I trust it to protect my lips. It’s simple, effective, and definitely my go-to for sun protection and hydration in one.

The PERFECT lip SPF EVERRRR
20 August 2024

I don't often write reviews. Only when a product is really horrible, or extraordinary. This is completely non-incentivized.I don't know if anyone has ever had the pleasure (or misfortune, depending on how you look at it) to try Shiseido's discontinued lip SPF. Ever since that life altering day three years ago, I have been on the hunt for the perfect lip SPF. They are always too sticky, their SPF is too low, untinted, have a horrible smell and taste, or they come in a stick formula. It is my absolute pleasure to announce that not only is my search over, but this one may have trumped Shiseido. Ultra Violet, I will rave about this to anyone who will listen. Quite literally can't shut up about it. I screamed when I tried it on. I am your biggest fan. The new applicator is much better than previous plastic one
7 January 2024

In general, i just don’t like any packaging that can get messy or dirty. Any lip balm on a tube like this product means messy applicator and lid, i guess we have to live with it.Product wise, i liked old formula a tiny bit better. Not a fan of menthol in lip products. Old version also smelled like cocoa, which i liked over mint. Both old and new versions are sticky and any wind means your hair is all on your lips. Not nice but probably to have spf that does not disappear from your lips in 3 minutes and feels comfortable you have to sacrifice something. Overall, probably will repurchase in this specific shade. Love the shade.

Thick but not sticky

My lips are very sensitive and get dry often so I’m always on the lookout for great lip balms to nourish and protect them. These Australian made and tested lip balms from Ultra Violette are really nice. They have spf 50, they are thick, not sticky, hydrating and slightly tinted. I love that they have a sheer colour and are not sticky, I love that about these lip balms! The colours are beautiful and they give a slight tint to the lips. What I did not like was the peppermint scent to these. I found that to be a bit overpowering and drying to my lips. Would be perfect, but for the flavour!
8 April 2024

These look super pretty and glossy on the lips, have great selection of colours and feel nourishing and comfortable to wear. I trust the brand with the SPF element of these too as I love their sunscreens and have never burnt whilst using them. BUT to me these taste AWFUL - really chemically and pretty much like you've eaten sunscreen. I can't detect the minty element others note at all, just tastes like straight up chemicals. I think maybe I've gotten a bit spoiled by all the lovely lip formulas that are either flavourless, or taste lovely, but these are a bit of a fail on that front. I can't use this if I'm planning to eat or drink anything whilst they're on as they sort of pollute the taste of whatever you're eating. So I would say only purchase if you are happy ... MoreThese look super pretty and glossy on the lips, have great selection of colours and feel nourishing and comfortable to wear.
