These 9-volt batteries have a higher mah rating than Eveready, but they are cheape--even when my local drugstore has Eveready on sale. These batteries are slightly larger than the name brand, but they fit easily into the smoke detectors for which I use them. If Eveready batteries last 10 years, these must last 12 - 15 years.

These batteries were ordered to replace the ones in my smoke detectors. They are much longer lasting than standard alkaline batteries and are the proper choice for this application.

As a professional entertainer I use the Ultralife 9 volt in my wirelesss microphones as well as in all active circuit electric stringed instruments. I never knew a 9 volt battery could last so long. Absolutely the best available.

Not supposed to be recharged but I do recharge them 3 times before rycycling! They run my wireless microphones for 2 full Wedding days then I recharge and get one more Wedding and repeat 2 times again! I have been using Ultralife for 6 years now. Awesome value and this is a good price!

I use these batteries to power a radio transmitter connected to a sensor buried in my driveway. The sensor is part of a home security system. I have tried NiMH and Alkaline batteries. They need frequent replacement and often fail in cold weather. The Lithium cells last over a year and operate reliably.
I purchased more of these to use in all my smoke detectors - and yes, they fit but I recommend checking for size as they are a bit larger. The last ones lasted 9 years. While these might seem pricey, compared with replacing regular life batteries on an annual basis, or even every 2 years, these are a great buy. Plus I don't have to climb up and down ladders to refill the smoke detectors!
My old Heathkit IM-17 Multimeter has been out of service for lack of an 8.4 Volt battery. The manual says a 9V battery can be substituted but Meter instability might be experienced. I'm trying this battery because of it's suggested long life and stability. So far it seems to be OK.
The lithium battery last much longer than the regular alkaline battery. When you have it in a location such as a smoke detector, you want long life & reliability.
