Uniden iGO Smart Dash Cam 70R

Compared to my previous dash cam, the IGO 80 is streets ahead. Setup via the menus was straight forward. Would have preferred to attach to windscreen with a sucker mount, but the sticky mount seems fine. The speed display on the screen is a nice feature, but on my car it was obscured by rear vision mirror. I have tested it on 4k and HD settings. The 4k was better for reading number plates than HD.Connecting to the dash cam with the app on my phone was a breeze.Viewing footage on my computer was great. I liked the feature that shows on a google map where you are.Overall I would give this a 9.5/10.

Great quality and value

Excellent image quality on both the front and back cameras. Can clearly make out number plates during day and night. Easy to install, wire is long enough to reach the car charger and ample length for rear camera in a mid-sized hatch. Doesnt include a car trim removal tool but I managed without it for my car. Note: Mounts use 3M stickers and not suction cups. Lane departure notification is useful on expressways but is really annoying on normal roads so I just switched it off- would be better if there was an option for it to only activate above a certain speed. Red light/speed camera warning is useful so I keep it on. It's okay for the price!

I'm a little disappointed for the collision warning system which even after disabling it keeps buzzing, should it be pretty accurate I'd enjoy otherwise would expect it to not active after deactivation.The sticky back tape is another hassle and I do have another Uniden 90R in another car, it would be great if 70R and 90R or any other Uniden be interchangeable.Function wise, I am happy for the price I paid.Picture quality is nice and the wifi connectivity, I am more satisfied with it rathet than with 90R.

Love it

Love this dashcam.Had it for a month now. First one was faulty as the parking mode was continuously restarting the cam. Uniden was very helpful and so was JB HIFI in replacing the unit within the first week of purchase.This dashcam does everything as described.Easy to install. The 3M tape securely holds both cameras in placeClear HD videos front and back cam.Day and night recordings are impressive.Parking mode works for a couple of days if car not driven.Turned off the extra bells and whistles as they can be annoyingly inaccurate. Pretty standard I guess

The packaging contains very generic instructions. The interface on the devic itself is really quite awful and I am still figuring out some settings. The camera itself seems pretty okay but number plates are hard to read. The app is quite good as long as you download the correct one (Uniden IGor) as there are so many uniden dash apps on the playstore. I honestly think this camera misses the mark of good value for what you pay.

Quality product but with very poor design

I've had this dash cam for a few years and it works well for recording videos and the front and back cameras is good to have.However, the designers decided to make a chime sound every time the unit powers on which drives me insane - why there is no option to disable this completely baffles me. In addition the 'battery' that is included to record if you're hit when parked pretty much only has power to make the annoying chime and then shut off. This results in an infuriating loop of chimes and this happens pretty much whenever the unit is not powered. Might be a great camera for a deaf person or, you could pop the cover off to disconnect the speaker (I did this and broke all the connectors but it's still a win in my book).Please note this review should not reflect on JB at all, JB are great and it's on me that I didn't return the product (mainly because there aren't many options with 2 cameras)!

Really poorly implemented

The only good thing about this is that the 1080p footage is "ok". Not good, just okay. The rear camera vga is terrible. And not because it's vga - I've seen vga footage a hundred times better than this camera. It's highly compressed and useless.The GPS tagging is also useless. The app you download to read the gps is hit and miss. When it actually works, there is no way to export the data to anything you can use (such as kml) and furthermore the app does not show any information such as road or place markings. It's just a route. On a blank area. You have no idea where the route actually is. It's utterly and completely useless. The GPS tagging claim is outright false advertising. It doesn't provide you with gps data in any usable format.

Uniden igo 70r

I have an igo 50r and wanted the added safety features that igo 70r offers . Bonus being able to connect to Samsung phone via Uniden ap. Not been able to do that yet . I Like Uniden as size and ease of taking out of car off its mounts is really good and nice looks of unit and rear camera . This is second purchase of igo 70r first one new out of box rear camera didn’t work. (Refunded)

iGo Cam 325 - Accident CAM Vehicle Recorder

Not that happy as it seems to record for about 3 minutes, then stop. Still trying to work out how to properly use it. I THINK I have to push to "OK" button for it to continue recording, and "OK" again to stop it. But that is yet to be tested. Do not know if it will automatically commence recording , say, in a carpark IF someone bumps into me! Does Motion Detection activate it ? It hasn,t started automatically in the carpark that I know of, so confused up to this point
