One of them had what Im assuming is a battery acid problem, the batteries would overheat within seconds of inserting them so one of them didnt work :( super disappointed, I thought this brand would be safe to go with so really wasnt expecting that

Unfortunately this product takes AAA batteries and not a built in rechargeable unit. Therefore it chews through batteries. I gave up on using them after changing the batteries several times in one day. Uniden is a great brand but I recommend buying radios with better power capabilities
These are awesome. Only negative is that I thought they can work without AAA batteries and batteries can be used in case you are out and can't charge the walkie-talkies. So the charging cords provided are to charge the rechargable AAA batteries that one would have to put in the units. Once fully charged batteries last for around 5 to 6 hours.
No batteries included was a surprise for rechargeable walkie talkies and $50 extra purchase once we realised.
Bought as a present for a 6 year old. Believe they did exactly as I expected! Kid loved it, parents not so sure ;)Really great fun.
Great wee set; purchased these for our property which is 30 acres, and our house is situated in the middle. Handy to have to radios so anyone out and about on the farm can stay in touch with the house, or call for an extra hand. A bit smaller than i imagined, but good size for kids to use too.
Would be nice to know it requires rechargeable batteries that aren’t provided.
Very happy with the Uniden hand held radios. They work really well. Highly recommend.
