A neat and tidy unit with a lot of features packed into a little space. My little girl (7) loves them and keeps them in a special box. It also interfaces seamlessly with another UHF hand-held transceiver that I have, plus takes some re-chargeable batteries that I have AND recharges them from a USB port. I think Uniden has really done its homework well.

Love this. We go camping a bit and got this for Christmas. This was one of their most used gifts. Good range, easy to use and works great. Just get rechargeable batteries as you will go through a heap if you don’t haha. They come with micro usb charging cables

I bought this two weeks ago for the kids to use. They are easy for the kids to use, compact and light in size, feature ringing tones and the ability to lock the channel do there is no one else tuned in. The best feature is no static noise when no one is talking! Great product will be taking them on our camping trip now!!!

I bought these a few weeks ago for the kids (age 3 & 6)....they love using them around the house and the garden! Once you set the channel and what "zone code" you want, it's pretty much set and forget. I key lock the kid's radios so they don't accidentally change channels. Also, go out and buy the 12 AAA re-chargeable batteries....it'll be worth it in the long run. The units come with a micro USB to standard USB cable, so just charge it from your PC USB ports or use an old phone charger that has a USB plug on it (5v DC). Pretty easy and the batteries last a few days before the next charge.
They say this is rechargeable but it doesn’t come with batteries. It runs on AAA batteries so is only rechargeable if you buy AAA batteries. Also the kids mode makes it less likely someone else on your frequency will interrupt but it doesn’t stop them and doesn’t stop them listening in so monitor usage if kids are using it - tell them to use code names etc. if you can find the old version cheaper buy that instead.
Good range (used up to 1km in dense bush and still very easy to understand) and easy to use. Only disappointment is that the markings on the buttons wears off very easily (on/off switch worn off in three days of moderate use, others very faded). Battery life is very acceptable and our children loved the colours. Happy with purchase and I would buy them again if I needed more.

Bought this as an Xmas present for my kids. Used a couple of days later on a camping trip. Battery life is shocking, even with high powered batteries. One of the units failed after less than a day and barely more than a test. The kid-zone feature that’s supposed to block outside chatter doesn’t seem to work at all.
I bought this product a couple weeks ago and they are a great set of UHF radios. They work great and have a range of roughly 1km. Battery life is really good as well. Would last a whole day without a charge. Easy to carry around as they have a belt clip and can be charged via micro-USB, if you use rechargeable batteries (3 x AAA).
I bought the 3 pack Uniden UH45-3.Range: 3+km. My husband took a walkie talkie in the car & drove 300m up the road & we lost communication.**Edited to add in tiny print on the back it says “3+KM typical range line of sight.”He went 300m then turned a corner & we lost communication, that’s pretty poor.Will these work on a cruise ship with the different decks?
