The Union x Air Jordan 4 “30th Anniversary - Desert Moss” is a special collaboration between the Los Angeles-based boutique and Jordan Brand that honors the former’s 30th anniversary. One of two colorways of Michael Jordan’s fourth signature shoe designed by Union and Jordan Brand to release in 2020, the “Desert Moss” is the successor to Union’s Jordan 4 collaboration of 2020. Like that year’s “Off Noir” and “Guava Ice” colorways, as well as the “30th Anniversary - Taupe Haze,” the “Desert Moss” features a mesh construction in lieu of the standard leather based design of the original Jordan 4. Desert Moss-colored suede panels appear on the toe cap, mudguard, eyelets, and heel. Contrasting purple mesh forms the base, appearing on the toe, underneath the white netting on the tongue and mid-panel, and on the collar. Modern design updates to the Jordan 4 include translucent “wings,” grey and teal speckled laces, and a modified, stitched down tongue measured to the specifications of Chris Gibbs, Union’s owner.
