As long-term afficionados of UNO, I was excited to be gifted UNO Show āEm No Mercy to review through Influenster. Mattelās latest iteration of the hugely popular card game UNO, comes entertainingly billed as āsame game, nasty attitudeā, and a couple of rounds with the family soon revealed just how brutal this game can be. The old plus cards (which mean the next player has to pick up) are now stackable - you can add to the pick-up total with a plus-2 , -4, -6 or even 10! With an additional rule of being eliminated if your hand hits 25 or more cards, things can quickly escalate. Cries of āI hate this game!ā were quickly replaced by āI love this game!ā and vice versa, as fortunes swung wildly from one hand to the next. More strategic, slightly more complicated, itās not perhaps the entry level UNO for all ages, but as gamers get more experienced and emotionally resilient (otherwise expect frequent cries of NOT FAIR!), UNO No Mercy adds more fun and a greater challenge to a familiar and well-loved game. Our household has firmly welcomed it into the gaming mix.

This version adds a fresh twist to the classic game, with new action cards that increase versatility and keep things exciting. Safety is a non-issue with rounded card edges, making it perfect for players of all ages. The innovative "Show 'Em No Mercy" mechanic adds a strategic edge, making each game unique. The packaging is compact and sturdy, ideal for storage and travel. Overall, this game is a fantastic, durable, and innovative addition to any game collection. Highly recommended!

Played this game with my 12 and 7 year old kids. What a fun twist on the classic uno game. We definitely enjoyed this version. One rule that we tweaked was the rule about being eliminated after accumulating 25 cards in your hand. We changed this to 35 cards because we reached 25 cards way too quickly. Ultimately though after several games, we found out that the only way to win this game is for everyone else to be eliminated for having too many cards instead of the traditional way of losing all your cards first. There were a lot of new types of cards added to the deck which also made the game interesting such as the draw 10 and the reverse draw 4 wild. You can stack these which will help eliminate someone pretty quickly. There were also cards that had you switch ...Ā MorePlayed this game with my 12 and 7 year old kids. Game is fast paced and BRUTAL. You can stack your opponents cards to the ceiling practically, but they can then swap hands with you, ruining your plans. It is glorious. Things get downright vicious when itās down to the last two remaining players. The card combos possible there are devastating. This isnāt a game for sore losers or sensitive types. Itās all out war so youād best bring your A game! Every game weāve played has been an absolute blast! Highly recommended!!!
Uno No Mercy is definitely fun for everyone! Ages 5-32 played and the game lasted quite some time! Everyone had a blast! Obviously it took some getting used to with all of the new cards and rules but once we were on a roll, that was it!! The whoever gets 25 cards is eliminated surprisingly only took out one person! But we all had our moments with 22 cards and swap the cards back and forth! It was wild! I loved it! One of the kids cried because they wanted to play again 𤣠He wants his revenge! Overall it was fun it makes it even more heated and intense with the special cards and stacking rules. Where you have to pull until you get a card the right color is viciousš! The game will last long enough as people drop from the game or finally uno out! We had so much fun ...Ā MoreUno No Mercy is definitely fun for everyone! I finally found this game 30 minutes away for under 10 bucks...well worth the wait and drive! Fun family and friends game. I love all the twists and turns of the game. Just when someone calls uno, someone swap hands with them or make them draw 10 or more...lol. I'd suggest playing with three or more players for a really fun and ridiculous game. Played with seven people and we had a blast. I was the second person to leave the game due to having over 25 cards after drawing over ten cards...that stacking rule is no joke. It did take the remaining players a while to finish playing but they refused to give up until there was a winner.
Fun new spin on a game our family has enjoyed for years!! Itās def no mercy because no teaming up here. Every man for himself. Iām not sure if this game made have more fun or yell at each other more. And sorry to my 8yr old son who I made draw like 22 cards. Better luck next time kid. Also note the cards have a slight rustic look to them. Thatās just the look of them I seen many people complaining the cards looked used. We like it because when you have a new deck and a card is bent or any imperfection you remember what card it is. When they come looking already worn a bit makes it hard to notice those cards that gets damaged in intense play. Bought an extra set considering Bestbuy is the only place still selling them at retail.

Maybe it plays better with smaller groups, but we tried with 6 players (max on box). The new cards and rules caused two things to happen, which really ruined the experience. First, knocking players out (when they reach a hand size of 25) really isnāt fun. We had someone get knocked out on their very first turn, which leads to problem number two. This game takes a long time to finish. Like really long. So those people knocked out say there for a good 15-20 minutes waiting for everyone else to finish. And given the scoring, the game can and does reach the winning score (1,000 points) on that first round, meaning the person knocked out never even got to play. Maybe itās better with lower player counts, but I would not recommend this one at all if you are planning on ...Ā MoreMaybe it plays better with smaller groups, but we tried with 6 players (max on box). This version of UNO is ā just as the package promises ā absolutely brutal. One of us ended up with 70 cards in our hand while we were playing the 'No Mercy' version. If you've ever played UNO Attack, this is similar but worse. You can be meaner, stacking draw cards so someone can get hit with a draw 16...20...24 or more! So. Many. Cards. All you can do is hang your head in shame. (Oh, and you have to be careful because some of them are reverse draw cards so things can turn on you quickly.)Like other UNO options out there, this one has variations that give you lots of ways to play. All fun. Highly recommend this version (especially if you can get your hands on it without dropping more than $50.)
