Optically, these filters are very good. They are thin, lightweight, and do not cause vignetting with a 16mm lens, even when screwed into a UV filter. The disadvantage of this, they are fragile. While carrying in a backpack (I was skiing - hence the need for ND filters), my ND8 shattered whilst attached to my lens. The thicker, stronger Hoya UV did not shatter. Unfortunately, even with a filter wrench, I could not separate the two filters, and so I had to replace both. An expensive break. And I'm sure it's going to happen again.

I purchased these ND filters through the Urth website only to have the order fulfilled by Gobe (?) and delivered by Amazon. The packaging/case would've been cool, but mine came covered in Amazon stickers that don't come off cleanly. The filters fit and seem to work fine. However, I'm docking two stars for the sketchy fulfillment. It's obvious mine came straight from an Amazon warehouse, which feels cheap and not environmentally friendly - the latter of which being one of the main reasons I ordered straight from the Urth website.

I'm accustomed to Hoya HD and B+W XS-pro filters - established companies, great clarity, and unlike even the companies' own less expensive filters their coatings are ridiculously resistant to smudges and stupid easy to clean when they do get crap on them.I don't use ND enough to pay for XS-pro though, so I normally use midrange Hoya Pro1 and B+W F-pro for that. For such a great price, you get great packaging, great filters, and a great environmental impact (Gobe plants 5 trees for every product sold). These filters are so great for doing all sorts of long exposures. Covering a vast array of different NDs, this is just what you need and were looking for. Don't waste your time going around for other brands, these filters are the best bang for your buck. They fit really well with the lens and they are made of really good materials. I was so impressed with them! There is no way you can get it wrong when you buy Gobe filters. It's my favorite new brand of filters.
The perfect ND setup for any photographer and filmmaker looking for a kit that won't break the bank. You get five filters of increasing density that allows you to dial in your look. I have tested this filter set very thoroughly with my Nikon Coolpix P950. I'm very satisfied with them. Until now I was using some cheaper filters.The main trouble I had with other filters was sharpening when using zoom. The images were always soft. These Urth filters offer really sharp images also in high zoom positions. I have tested them from 35mm to 500mm with no impact on sharpening although very few light comes through ND1000.The other problem using some other cheaper filters was strong violet color cast in more bright conditions. Images can be used just for BW photos. This filter set has just slight blue color cast, which can be corrected during processing.Until now I haven't tested these filters in very bright conditions.Bogdan BriceljSlovenia
I bought these filters after seeing the positive reviews. I am quite happy with them. I found no noticeable color cast. Using a photo app for exposure these filters were spot on. Remember light changes so you may be a stop off in either direction. The filters are packed in a cardboard tube, the filters screw stack together and have these nice screw caps on each end. The whole stack is then in a little sack along with a lens cloth. The threads a nicely cut, the frames are a decent weight and the filters are made of glass with 12 layer coating. These are nice filters for the price.

I do a lot of on location shoots around the city and the bulk and weight of gear is a real consideration for me. To have so many filters in this small space and weight means it wins a permanent place in my (compact) camera bag. Wish I could give it more stars. These filters are amazing, I have been using Tiffen for a while and decided I should give a new filter brand a chance once I switched from Canon to Sony cameras. I'm glad I did. These filters are amazing there is no vignetting like in some of the Tiffen filters I have used and they are also super crystal clear and very robust. I love the way they come packaged in a cylinder box as well as being sandwiched between the 2 lens caps that act as covers for them. I use these all the time when I'm out shooting and I cant wait to buy more for my other lenses.
I am very very happy with these filters. Clear optics with minimal color shift. Taking long exposure shots with them is a dream. You do however need to be careful because they can get stuck together if you tighten them down too hard. I keep them together for storage and only tighten them about 2 and a half turns. Metals have so many weird reactions you have to be careful. This does not detract from the quality of these filters, as many other filters have this problem and it can be made worse by a 100% aluminum frame. I would love to see a Brass frame set despite the extra cost this brings. I will be looking to GOBE in the future for any other filters I need. I cannot recommend these enough.
