I have a lot of the older non-braided Apple USB-C cables, and I'm glad that they made a braided version of this. The braided one have been lasting me a lot longer than the old non-braided cables. It seems like the sheathing material is more durable on these. I haven't had to replace any of my braided Apple cables yet and have been using them since they first came out. They also seem more flexible than the old cables. The old cables used a plastic material that tended to swell and soften for some reason and then split. These don't have that problem.

I like that the cable is better quality than the previous gen. ( You know the ones that turn yellow than brown than ultimately fray open exposing the internals of the cord because they get to hot depending on the curve of yhe wire. ) ya its better than those. The sad part is it's only USB2 speeds. But if you bought it for charging you will be very pleased. Just dont expect thos USB-C to C cable to have usb 3+ speeds

I see now logging into my account that it says it is eligible for return until tomorrow which means they LIED to me.While there, I purchased a different cord for my phone and only discovered after returning to Nassau that it too is the WRONG cord. I literally showed your employee my phone when asking for help. I have trouble keeping up with technology and figuring out which chargers work with which devices, which is why I use BEST BUY, but never ever again. If your employees are going to sell me overpriced items that don’t work for me, I have to go elsewhere. I prefer to shop in store, but if I’m going to have to figure out what I need on my own, I might as well save money and use Amazon.

The Apple 240 W USB-C charger works flawlessly. Some users have said that it is so stiff and heavy that cord does not stay the charger or in your device, but I have not found that to be an issue. However, I do agree that the cord is extremely heavy duty. It is a bit heavy to carry and my preference would have been for it to be slightly thinner just like the 1 m cable that came with my new iPad. However, I love the longer length and find it gives me more flexibility to charge while I am using my iPad at the kitchen counter, on the sofa, etc. where the plug is a bit too far away otherwise. At $29 it is a bit pricey.
Bought this cable version to replace the original MacBook Pro charging cable that broke (the original shown a yellowish tint at the end by the connectors, a sign the cover had lost its flexibility and protective qualities). The woven material cover seems it will hold longer and potentially avoid the issue of the original. So far it has delivered on its purpose as computer charges properly. Although it may be too early, the new woven material might be the key for the cable to last, avoiding a predicament in the future.
This a really really good quality cable… primarily for power NOT for data. It will handle data but only at minimum USB-C speeds. I would highly recommend this for a really good high wattage power cord but knowing it will handle your data (slowly) in a pinch. You can see the thickness difference in the picture. The standard 60W Apple cable (with orange tie) is next to the thicker 240w cord being reviewed.
