Okay, so to start out this worked as intended for the first 2 times I used it and I noticed that there was VERY LITTLE bouncing while I was mountain biking so It worked great for that duration. After that though, when I went to put the pack on, the strap that holds the buckle in place ripped out. If I were able to post a picture of it I would, but it looks as though either the glue they used to hold the strap in place failed, or the stitching never even touched the strap.I do have some other problems with it as well that are more along the lines of just personal preference.In my opinion the bite valve that comes installed on the bladder was kind of hard to use without 2 hands to open the valve. Great fit while easily being adjustable. This is the most comfortable pack I have found to wear. Love that I can reach my bike jersey pockets without having to move the pack out of the way. Intelligent design to minimize weight but still allow me to attach gear between the main bag and detachable pocket. Very well made!

Great pack! I purchased this because I wanted a smaller pack for extended mountain bike rides and park days without have to go back to the van to refill my bottle. I have a 9l ranger that is great for Moto, but was just too bulky for mountain biking. The 3l is perfect size for the bladder and enough snacks for a day of riding, if you need two carry a flat kit as well I would look for a larger size. My only small complaint is that I am a little bit between the two strap sizes...the smaller is a bit tight and the larger bounces a little bit on the rougher patches of trail. Build quality is excellent which is as to be expected from USWE.

I bought the MTB Hydro 3L specifically for mtb endurance races. It works well as a secure, easy-access water source, paired with a frame-mounted water bottle with electrolyte mix. The Hydro 3L seems more stable than my larger traditional (shoulder strap and waist belt) hydration packs, but the Hydro 3L is very small. It's a good choice for a supported endurance race, but for an all-day, unsupported mtb ride I'd look for something larger. The chest strap seemed a little awkward initially, but once I had it adjusted, it fit well and was quite stable; I hardly notice it's there once I start riding. It also works well with my chest strap heart rate monitor, which sits just below the pack straps.
I have taken my MTB Hydro 3L pack on two long ride. The size works great for me. . . I put water in the USWE pack and hydration mix in my water bottles so I can have both for a long ride. I wish the extra storage pouch was a little bit bigger but it works well for holding my phone and 1-2 energy bars. My favorite thing about the pack is the fit and ability to access my rear jersey pockets. Well Done USWE.
I just used this pack on a 66 mile mountain bike race.I was concerned about the fit and performance before I started, but I never noticed wearing it for the wholeIt was a muddy wet race, and my frame bottles were covered in mud, the pack drinking tube was always clean and at hand.I could not have completed the race without this pack system and it’s comfort no rubs or bounce.The other feature I most loved was the magnetic clasp for the drinking tube, which kept it out my way but instantly at hand when I needed it.I will recommend this pack to all my friends, thank you USWE
Bought this pack at the recommendation of a riding partner. I hate packs with waist straps but also hate when packs bounce around or sit too high if they don't have a waist strap. The MTB hydro solves both issues. However, pay close attention to the strap size it comes with stock. It will not adjust any larger than 43", which is still fairly small for an average size/shape man from the US, (Likely cavernous for the Euros out there.) I had to buy the XXL strap for an extra $25 plus shipping since there is no option to choose your strap size at the initial purchase. Also wish there was a clip for your key ring but alas maybe I'm the only one who rides with keys and has lost a set from a pack due to the lack of a key ring clip. Perfect pack for only bringing the necessities. Construction seems durable and I just took it snowboarding during a snowstorm. The bag was comfortable and able to fit my spare lens in with the water bladder. It was nice and snug not bouncing around like a dancing monkey.The wife has had this bag for a year now and I finally got jealous enough to buy one for myself.Great product.
Prosgreat fit, very easy to put on and take off, does not move ever on any of my activities, bottle easy to fill and seals well. The overall unit is well built with quality materials.ConsI have found one upper clip unfastened on the removable storage pouch on several occasions, and not always the same one but always only one at a time.
This is my 7th USWE backpack.I really like the hydro family, has the best back lining.And the 3L size with the detachable smaller pocket, is the ideal size, except for winter rides where i use a bigger one for extra clothes.Only complaint with this order is that bladder tube was heavily twisted and I cannot get it straight, keeps pointing the wrong direction.
