Valentino Born in Roma Coral Fantasy Donna EDP 50ml

I have the original Donna Born in Roma as well as the Coral Fantasy, and I enjoy them both. I was excited to try the intense version. Unfortunately I'm a bit disappointed. The original is lighter, sweeter, more vanillic. While I do get a sense of the original DNA in this intense version, the dominating note to my nose is jasmine. The full list of notes includes bourbon vanilla, amber, jasmine and benzoin. I would say it is a more intense profile, but my personal taste would gravitate towards that which is lighter, fruitier and sweeter. I can appreciate more sillage and longevity, but I actually didn't find that Intense offers this. It seems to fade possibly more quickly than the original which has pretty good performance. I’m usually picky when it comes to pink scents because a lot of them remind me of a mature women, waxy, syrupy or some of them are even juvenile and too sweet. That may just be me getting old and getting sticker shock with standard inflation. I can say with 100% certainty, I would not spend $156 on this or even $85 for the smallest bottle.
