My old ford 1997 courier ute developed a ticking noise this was a lifter that didnt like the synthetic old i put in it 5000kms ago the Valvoline XLD 15W-40 sorted the lifter problem my mistake for not reading the lable correctly on the previous oil i used very happy with Valvoline

Valvoline XLD Premium Engine Oil 15W-40 is a premium engine oil for older petrol engines, it provides good engine protection between oil changes.
I've been using this oil in my little 1988 Ford Laser for many years. Still going strong at 330000kms.I have every confidence in this brand and their products.
Valvolin has been around for a while and I used it in my cars and my motorcycles when I owned quite a few of them never had any problems using this oil as it keeps the soot and claggy residue from building up you get from unleaded fuel these days.I recommend it as the go to oil in most of the cars and bikes I've owned over the past 40 odd years or so.
