Telescoping tripod legs have a snap-type lock versus the threaded couplings I have seen in the past. So far, I like the new snap-type. This scope design works best for birding and general wildlife and landscape viewing. Hunters might want a straight eyepiece, lower height tripod for hours lying prone in the brush scouting for game and a window mount for sitting in your pick-up.

Great spotting scope for the price! The view is crystal clear and even out to long distances and under higher zoom. Eye relief and light gathering with the 80mm lense is outstanding. This is one of the best units you can get for the price.

Bought this scope on the back of my kids telling me how amazing it was. We'd all had a taste of how good this scope was at Countryfile Live and we have been just as impressed since we took it home. Now looking forward to getting the right attachment for my wife's Nikon SLR as unfortunately the Vanguard one is not the right size.
Great value and awesome clarity out to the higher zooms. Fits my old tripod I had for my DSLR. Good build quality. A touch heavy but I'll be packing it into viewing locations so not an issue.
Works great but need to find a decent smart phone mount for taking pictures. The scope's has a fairly wide diameter making it comfortable for viewing but my phone mount will not grip it well.
Bought for spotting deer. Compares to quality of other big names. First day out I feel in love with how bright it was a dusk I wish I could post the pics from my scope it was insane the quality
You can spend lots of money on glass like this. But why?I think most of the time you buy the name. This spotting scope is amazing and I'm impressed, you will be too when you buy one.
At full magnification on a sunny day, this scope can be used at the 200 yard range for informally scoring targets. You still have to walk down to get the final score because you may not see all the details. The marks left by staples do look similar to bullet holes at that distance. On a cloudy day, there is substantial color shifting at full zoom, the black of the target appears blue. I use shoot-and see targets which crate a small halo around the holes, so you can see black on black. Holes on white oak tag are easy to see. So bottom line, this would be a perfect scope for 100 yards, but at 200, the conditions have to be just right or you may struggle to see accurately.
i have only had this scope a few day and i am already impressed with it with low light conditions brings in enough light to see what we are looking atvery comfortable in any position even sitting works great even with the phone skope we do not have to fight it to keep it focused stays right where it needs to be
