Vanicream Gentle Facial Cleanser

This is such a super amazing cleanser! I don’t care how many drugstore cleansers I have ever used, this truly beats them all. A lot of times cleansers geared towards sensitive skin don’t get my skin lean enough, and then it will eventually lead to me seeing breakouts. Which is why, I got to have a bit of foaming to my cleanser to most thoroughly cleanse my skin and purify my pores with. This cleanser provides a silky foam to it that does not dry out my skin or irritate it in any way. It can be used by all skintypes, just by people who have sensitive skin. It’s a simple brand that packs a powerful punch that isn’t talked about enough, but offers everything that individuals like me who have very sensitive skin can 100% tolerate. In addition to having very sensitive skin, I also have dry/very dry, acne prone skin. I also suffer with eczema. I am a Retin A user (for help with the controlling of my acne) and I have been prescribed so many topical steroid creams for my eczema till it’s crazy, but the products from Vanicream are of better help with my eczema than anything I’ve ever been prescribed. And like I said, I spend a lot of money on products so for me to find a product that’s under $10 that I genuinely like and find better than expensive products I’ve tried in the same category, really means i find it better and more effective (for me at least). I bought this after much research and review-scouring, and I’m so glad I did. I have been trying to repair the moisture/lipid barrier on my face, and needed a cleanser with the right balance to aid in that process. Washing with Vanicream cleanser is great because it removes things like sunscreen light makeup but it will not leave your skin feeling stripped or tight.It’s “fragrance free” but does have a somewhat medicinal smell to it. It’s not too bad, but don’t expect it to smell like absolutely nothing. As for the consistency, many gentle cleansers don’t foam up but this one does.. it’s actually more of a lather than a bubbly foam. Overall, I'm happy with this purchase and I may continue to buy it in the future. I bought it initially because I was using the Mild by Nature charcoal soap bar to wash my face and it was making my face way too dry. So I realized I needed something more gentle and this is REALLY GREAT for that. If you need a gentle facial cleanser and have very sensitive skin or a skin condition, this is probably a great option for you. I don't have a serious skin condition so I'm a little on the fence because what I have noticed is that it doesn't really do a deep clean so I've been noticing that my black heads are getting worse. I was able to remedy this by using a face mask once a week which helps clean out the pores. It does not burn or strip my skin at all either. When rubbed into wet skin, it creates a nice soothing lather and light foam. But it’s not too soapy, it’s just perfect. I would recommend cleansing with cold water as it feels sooo relaxing and calms irritation/inflammation as well. I also want to mention that I have not gotten any pimples while using this cleanser except for 1 but I was on my cycle and that’s normal for me. In comparison, when I used cerave I would regularly get pimples and breakout a lot, even when not on my cycle. Anyways after I cleanse and I pat my face dry, my skin feels nice, fresh, and breathable, then I apply the vanicream moisturizer. It’s a thick cream that’s great for my dry, sensitive, and irritated skin. I do need to apply the cream as needed because sometimes I do feel dry a couple hours later but it’s only in my mouth area that’s irritated right now. The other areas of my face feel hydrated and look so glowly even though I still have acne scars. I don’t mind reapplying the cream anyway because it works so well and I have noticed my irritation getting alot better. Again I have only been using these two products for like 2 weeks but I have alot of faith and confidence in them as I’ve already seen improvement in my skin (and btw I just wanted to speak on the cream too because of how well it works in combination with the cleanser). As for the cleanser it will definitely become a staple in my skincare routine. It is amazing and the best one I’ve ever come across. Super affordable too so that’s a plus! I definitely recommend this to anyone this dry sensitive skin.
